Forge first impression

I checked out forge for myself and ive also seen what others have done with it, while I’m not very good and its gonna take some time for me to get used to it, ive seen some of the amazing things others have been able to make. alot of new ideas and classics maps like blood gulch, a working elephant, an AI boss, and even infection. It does look promising in terms of how it functions. I’ve noticed some wonkiness with some of the tools, but that might just be me.

on a more negative note, I think the short term impact for the health of the game will be very small just bc not everyone can use it easily and will not take the time to learn it fully if at all. so having a custom game browser could have helped in this regard (hopefully they will add it soon)

what have you guys thought of forge so far? I think overall good.

I don’t think Forge is going to have much of an impact for player counter at the start. Once we get a Forge playlist and custom game browser, then I think Forge will have significant impact on retention.

That said, the player count is the best its been in the last six months, so challenges/xp changes were probably a good move.
