Forge/file share Additions that YOU want in Halo 5

Halo 5 is in early WIP as far as we are aware. This is good as we can determine what we want in the game way before its released, and that doesn’t mean finding bugs but full additions of things we may want. Here we can discus what we want to improve or add to forge/file sharing in Halo 5. My ideas are listed below.

-Bundles - People have commonly released several maps at once to make a “Map Pack”. 343 should take influence from the term “Map Pack” and allow us to make playlists of maps in one download. So let’s say you find a bundle you want, you select download on that bundle and it will download everything from the bundle. This could also mix in with gametypes as there are a lot of maps made to have certain gametypes so why not bundle them and make it easier?

-Scaling - The standard blocks are an easy basis for what you want to make in the game and should stay, but for the small gaps or professional forgers, scaling should be implemented. In case you are unaware, scaling is changing the block size.

-Sound effects- Sound effects could be background noises to nearby explosions to add effect to the maps. These can be on repeat or run on a timer.

-Curved blocks - curved blocks

-Texture change - not necessary but it would be nice to have be able to change the textures of blocks.

-Default objective settings - when you place an oddball spawn, you should be able to enter the map on oddball without changing any settings on the object. Ive never understood why that isn’t default

-Maps at different times and places - The different forge maps should be generally noticeably different. I’d suggest 1 dessert, one blood gulch style, 1 snow, 2 skybox (Halo and space maybe) and 2 night

Alright, good ideas! So, here’s my thoughts on some of yours.

Background noises:
Ehhhhh… we’re talking customs and Forge mode, right? You know there’s gonna be ‘those guys’ who troll people on their map with constant random noises. But, of course, ‘those people’ are a minority, and I say as long as they aren’t too loud (don’t want to distract from the flow of the game at hand), go for it. Like the eerie dripping sound when on a Flood match or the background wildlife calls of some maps.

Dif Time and Places:
Variety, yes. I like how Halo 4 had it, 1 desert/dusty, 1 space, and 1 plains.

Time/Weather Cycles:
A thousand times, yes. I’ve wanted to see these in games for a while. Pitch-black dark-of-night maps could open up whole new possibilities, and weather could give more life and spark to the map.

Everyone’s too busy fighting over sprint.
