Ok, so we are going to see how long this can last before things socially fall apart.
We have had forge since Halo 3 (not counting Halo 2 Vista). Since then many features have come and go and lot of those that are gone were very good features.
What are features from Halo 3 forge to MCC that you enjoy and find useful in map editing and would like to see return. Feel free to just list them or even provide an explanation.
Remember, this is what you want to see, not what you don’t want. Keep it simple and keep it clean. Perhaps is this becomes large enough, we can convince 343 to add back some of our old favorites.

- Permanent Normal physics on objects. Halo 3 had many items that could be simply pushed around. This allowed for games like Jenga or make silly towers that fell over. Today, object have the option to have normal physics, but after they come to a rest in forge, then no longer move.- Movable Bases. Halo 3 offered something on Sandtrap that was never seen again. The Elephant. This base could hold spawn and items and carry them with it. This allowed for a very cherished gametype known as the Seven Seas. If we could get back this option, many more game types could surface from this.- Swapping gametypes in game. Not trying to say Halo 3 had the best forge, it really didn’t IMO, but it offered many unique options. This one being very useful. It’s a bit annoying having to end the game to switch the gametype anymore when it was much easier to just to in in game.- Closer and farther zoom when holding an object. Halo Reach got this right being able to fly right up to an object or fully zoom out on it allowing for better positioning. This can kinda be done today by letting go of and object and repositioning yourself. That is a great feature also, but I would like to be able to hold a corner and be able to virtually sit right on top of it while moving so I can get a better view of my details. (No, just zooming it isn’t entirely the same. A good feature, but it would nice to have this also)- Acceleration similar to Reach. Remember the Speed map? The map where your warthog is careening down a steep slope into infected players trying to smash you? Acceleration physics now have a terminal velocity(and it is quite low) unlike in Reach where it just kept building leading to hilarious results.- Teleporters with a direction indicator. Allow us to see which side is the front of the teleporter again.- Functioning weapon drop pods. Ok so this is more of a mash up between 3 and 4. I know, ordnance drops suck, but they did provide for cool effects sometimes. Halo 3 had not functioning ones and Halo 4 had semi forgeable one via drops. All im saying with this, is allow it to be a forgeable option but not a core mechanic in Multiplayer.More will follow as I remember things. Your turn.
