Forge for this game using the new Slipspace Engine is going to be insane!! I’m a firm believer that a huge part of a game’s life cycle lies within its map design. I hope that 343 will involve more Forgers from the community to help test and influence map design for this game and others going forward. Looking forward to seeing new maps!

I wonder if/hope we’ll get malleable water or weather effects that actually respond to collision this time.

How would you use malleable water? In what ways? Curiosity

I feel like the reader distance is worse with this engine but overall I think the new engine is a nice improvement.

Agreed. I know that I always enjoy the nostalgia from playing familiar maps from past entries in the series. I’m hoping that with the new engine that we will see re-creations of maps like Turf and Wetworks from H2 get dynamic lighting, realistic water behavior and true to life gunfire echoes.

Cant wait to see what the Forge community creates next! Here’s to hoping we get the tools to do it!

Nostalgia is a wonderful thing! It’s just hard to grasp that feeling when creating a new map. You look at older maps and then you you constantly try and compare your map to those old maps and the feeling just isn’t there at times.

with it also being on pc man I can only imagine what we can possibly do and as someone who used unreal engine 4 a lot I am very curious to see what I can possibly do. im talking about putting custom architecture models in the game, maybe custom spartan armor for my forge specific levels and stuff like that. so much potential with it, im just glad that after moving to pc in 2016 I can finally talk about and look forward to halo
