anyone wanna see ACTUAL enemies in forge? that would be cool. I’m talking nuetral enemies. just reply with thoughts!
Would be kinda cool to make your own spartan ops of sort.
I would like it. Spawning certain types of enemies on your forge maps for you to fight would be awesome to me.
Anyone here ever play Super Smash Bros. Brawl?
It’s got a cool stage editor where you can make your own fighting arenas to play in. It’s pretty fun to play on your own custom stages with your friends, but not so much with NPC’s. The NPC’s get “confused” and run into walls and get lost and whatnot, because they were programmed to function just with the maps built into the game.
I imagine Halo would have the same issue.
Timesplitters 3 had this option in it’s forge in 2005, I don’t see how 343 wouldn’t be able to top something made almost 8 years ago.
Back in halo 2 pc in custom games with a mod you could spawn any NPC’s friendly hostile and in their editor (not forge a complex pain in the Yoink! editor) you could also spawn NPC’s. I don’t think I also have to say that that editor was the best there were absolutely no boundaries on it.
It would be great for custom games if they allowed you to spawn NPC’s.

Timesplitters is classic. But even so, there is so much that they did that even fps map editors as complicated as Farcry’s do not. Triggers, If-thens, scenario editing, bots (placeable enemies), custom lighting for each and every location on your map. Why does no one else incorporate this into their fps map editors?

I imagine having the series getting cancelled after 3 probably shyed many developers away from their ideas, or maybe they copyrighted some key concepts that makes replicating it hard.
Either way, classic is a classic, I miss that game
