Forge/Custom Games Issues/Suggestion thread

So there are a ton of things that 343i should have done with Forge and Custom Games that seems to be missing. I will list what I believe should be added and you do the same. Redirect people to this thread so it could be a collective group of ideas.

Forge additions:

-More magnet placement on objects (especially rectangular objects)
-New structure pieces (Seriously 343, only one new menu in the Structures section?)
-Switches (A simple On/Off switch where we can edit coordinates when on or off could work wonders)
-Delete after n seconds (opposite of place at start)
-Object grouping (How hard would it be to do something like Locking two or more pieces together to move them as a group?)
-MORE TOYS

Custom Games settings:

-Disable Sprint
-Edit Flood loadouts (I love the new look of Infection but what about gametypes where the Infected had a need for a Hammer?
-Random primary/secondary
-Grenade regeneration

IMO

All the things the previous poster mentioned plus:

Forge:

Magnets not properly lining up causing bumps in maps destroying flow.

No large scale forge maps.

Being able to put trait zones in blocks. e.g. way you could make a low gravity area inside of a couple of rooms without having to strategically place trait zones.

Killzones active while creating: I like to build my maps to the absolute maximum area I can, but keep dying from the kill areas while placing blocks around the outside, it would be better if it had a “warning outside of play area” popup or something that way you can still forge on the limits of the map area without dying repeatedly.

No flat sandbox type maps where you can build whatever you want from scratch without having to waste blocks on building a flat base

More lighting effects: (being able to place lights or modify lights on blocks to: change colour, pulse, dim, flash, flicker, etc.)

Custom games:

Not enough gametypes: (race, rocket race, invasion: (who cares if it’s only spartans vs spartans its the way the gametype works that makes it fun), territories: (I know dominion is supposedly to replace it but I don’t like the idea of fortifiable bases and reward systems that make it easier for the leading team to win), VIP, Insane: (the gametype which brought about many of the greatest halo reach minigametypes), Juggernaut, and Assault would be great for a start.

It would be nice to have some returning weapons from previous halo games for use in forge (bruteshot, Grenade launcher, missile pod, flamethrower, sentinel beam, focus rifle, needle rifle, Brute spiker, SMG. etc.)

Matchmaking:

Not enough gametypes: (see above)

Thruster pack too inconsistent: (the distance the thruster pack sends you is different on every playlist ranging from “pointless” to “out of there”)

Inability to play spartan ops you have offline.

Map Addition
-Forge World
-A larger map than Forge World

I miss Forge World. I know there are all this specialized maps and such, but I would like to see Forge World or something similar brought back. Building 2 huge bases with toys and more freedom.

All of this.

First they can start by making all game type option that are available work. Way point over flag carriers can not be removed despite the experience of an option to do so.

Forge and Custom Games definitely need to be brought back to their Halo 3 and Reach levels, then promptly upgraded.

Agreed, I was VERY disappointed in Forge. I was expecting something great but it has less than even Reach had. It seems rushed and thrown in just for the sake of keeping it in.

We need a forge world esque map, and more and bigger things to put in maps. When I can only build a base out of crates… it’s bad.

And why is it that there’s been 5 Halo games since Xbox live and we STILL don’t have custom game matchmaking?
