I am truly hoping that Forge launches stable and with a good custom server browser. It will literally breathe so much SUSTAINABLE life into the game. Once that is here the bad social playlists wont matter anymore because you can find or host what you want to play. No longer will we have to rely on 343 giving us what we want.
Team Snipers is a bad playlist? Play ACTUAL team snipers in the customs browser.
The standard 343 maps not fun enough? Someone on Forge will make that Midship remake for you to enjoy.
Wanna chill with friends in some non traditional party modes? Grifball, Infection, Michael Myers, Hide and Seek, Prop Hunt, Trash Compactor, Race, Escalation Slayer, One in the Chamber, Rockets Only, etc. are all waiting for you to find lobbies or host your own (privately or publicly).
343 not released the battle royale mode you have been waiting for? Someone in Forge will make it instead.
Wanna mess around in a fun sandbox doing random things with friends? Forge has got you covered.
IF the Forge and Customs Browser are implemented stable, fully functional and SOON; this could REALLY help turn Infinite around.

I’ve also been wanting them to add features to forge to allow you to make SP/MP scenario missions as it would make it one of the best iterations we’ve seen.

All I know at this point is that if forge doesn’t work properly and has a bunch of issues as the rest of the game actually has. Infinite will be immediately uninstalled.
The forge world is 343 last chance and the only thing I’m waiting for, but I sure as hell don’t have my hopes up.
Id also like them to remove or greatly increase the budget in forge to allow you to place a LOT more stuff as in Halo:reach and Halo 4 I felt rather restricted in what I could do. I really wanted to make insane maps like building a 1:1 scale covenant frigate or something similar.
I wouldn’t be that annoyed if there were minor bugs like graphical tearing or lighting issues but anything more than that should really be either fixed before being accessible to players or tested out in some kind of PTR or other open testing.
I can understand that some bugs cannot be ironed out before release as there will always be one or two gremlins that make their way through as no programmer or tester can account for every conceivable bug that can occur. I learned this the hard way when trying to make my own game.
I wouldn’t hold my breath. 343 hasn’t delivered on anything significant yet, since launch. All Chat, VC, player inspect, pre- and post- game lobbies have all been gutted or minimized. How would they be able to deliver on Forge and Customs? I pray they even release balance patches without breaking the game.
