I just tried forge for the first time and not that long in it crashed. Anyone else have this happen?
Not to me, no. I was in there for a few hours and only hopped off so I could finish downloading a new game. I’ll come back to this thread and say something if I do crash, though.
It’s crashing for me too. Frustrating to say the least!
It’s to be expected with it being a beta, but no less annoying.
Look like getting out of the Xbox preview program can help stop the game from freezing.
I read that as well. It also stops the issue where you have to re-boot your console after you try to play another game after playing HI.
Nearly every time I texture more than one item at a time I crash. Moving 20+ piece prefabs is occasion crash. If it doesn’t crash the pieces go everywhere. All of the things that are meant to make forge easier/more convenient crash the game.
Just so I can recreate these conditions and see if I can get Forge to crash, what’s the most consistent cause that you guys have observed?
@blitzgear02 Mine crashed last night. I spent 2 hours building a giant, beautiful tree and then started adding lights to change the colors of the leaves - and she locked up tighter than a drum. I haven’t had to do the “save” every few minutes thing since the Windows 95 days. Looks like we’re back to that now.

I have been forging nearly nonstop since it launched, and I crash about once a day…maybe every other day.
I find it often happens when I have a lot of objects selected but not grouped, and then try to change color/texture on them all, or try to move them all at the same time.
…but that’s not what always triggers it…sometimes it just seems random.
Yeah, my prefabs never move together or sit where I want them to.
Hi there, I play Halo Infinite on Series X too, and want make custom maps.
X-times crashing forge mode, very frustrating…
Many times when I am in the script mode…
Other times, many lags and synch problems…
I have so many great ideas, but so I STOPPED to make maps… :-((((.
MAKE THIS BETTER 343 INDUSTRIES…
…and what I hate too… Years ago was in forge mode more colorful for Team A and B, now ist all player starts in forge mode white…
And in script mode is not always clear, what I can connect to other boxes… Very confusing…
