Forge/Coop without Gold Membership possible!?

Hi all.

I’m an old Halo vet who let my subscription to Xbox Gold die (nothing was keeping me online). I am curious, if I go out and buy Halo 4, if I still have access to the Forge and online coop, or if I need to have a Gold membership to access that stuff?!

Is Halo 4 multiplayer enough to justify paying for a subscription?

All thoughts/opinions (hopefully with some facts/reasoning) are very much appreciated.

Obviously I’d have access to Forge/Coop? Or obviously it’s worth it?

I’m pretty sure you need gold for everything but campaign.
