I mean, these controls were designed with Pro Forgers in mind, and since they are better than me, than i suppose they know what I prefer.
NOT
I want an option to switch back to classic controls for forge.
Classic controls would work. They would also be less cluster ducked than the current ones. They also made sense.
that is all
(also on a side note, the Phaeton for me, is A up X down, but Monitor ball is B up A down. Why? Thats just pants on head not right)
I can agree to that. More options is always a good thing. Everyone has their own preferences.
Can you explain what the “classic controls” are and what the controls are now? There are more things you can do with Forge now so wondering if that would affect the flow of other controls. I would typically stand by the opinion of the top Forgers though, the ones who spend the most time there, but then again that’s probably why they don’t have a problem since they are used to it.

RB was up, LB down, A grab, B tools, X objects menu, Y delete, LT boost, RT (with object) turned on Rotate, LS Fine Edit, RS Zoom D-Pad had its set of tools such as Duplicate, Lock and I forgot the other two.
the old controls worked. Period. There was zero learning curve because it was intuitive and made sense.
the current controls have zero meaning behind why they were made so complicated.
Getting the hang of them. The speed controls can be fiddly with them all being on one analogue stick, find myself accidentally in precision mode too often.

Thanks.
I think the old controls worked because of 2 things: you “learned” them, and the Default controls are slightly different now like zoom is LT instead of RS, so maybe they are following off of that instead of the classic. If your controls you use are different than what they followed such as where the zoom is then you might have a learning hump to climb. Just my thoughts. And, I don’t have that much of opinion of the new controls because I don’t know what they are since I’m still at work and have not dived in yet.
