Seeing as there’s a problem with placing Alpine terrain pieces in water- specifically that they turn muddy because they’re sampling textures from underwater, perhaps 343 should remake Awash from MCC for Halo 5. Here’s how I think it could work. The pre-existing terrain underwater would be a massive sand plane that couldn’t be sampled. Instead terrain pieces would sample from a grass plane hidden under the sand plane. Is this feasible?
I don’t know exactly what you mean, but I’d live a map that has a large space of open water. That way we could build lakes and rivers by playing with terrain pieces. I do hope that Forge World 2.0 that Tom French said was originally planned will release.
We also kind of need some sandy terrain, the closest we have is Asteroid with the Gold screen effect, which could be better. So if we’re going for a sea/island theme in the next canvass it would be nice to have sandy beach terrain that could double as a desert, as well as palm trees and some more diversity on the natural front.

You could all that in Flooded and a sand themed canvas to sample from in the terrain menu would make this concept even more versatile. Think about the possibilities of mixing grassy and sandy or snowy and grassy terrain on water. Trust me- the forge community would love this, Imagine how much easier it would have been for No God Anywhere to make Halvalla (the Valhalla remake) if we had this canvas all along,

That’d be so cool. Speaking of Sanghelios, I’d love to see the breakable cave walls from those levels and the breakable vent covers from other levels as well added to Forge.
