As part of a Forge map I’ve been working on, I had a group of objects in the shape of a ship. For no reason I can discern, when I load the map to edit I can no longer select or interact with that group of objects at all. An object which was inside the “ship” (but not welded to the group) can be selected, but the welded group itself making up the “structure” isn’t being recognized by the cursor, which won’t even highlight it. Nothing but this group seems to be affected.
It’s still physically present in the map: I can walk around on it and objects in normal physics can’t pass through it, but I can’t select it any more. I had saved/quit the map several times without incident before, but now this is. I’ve tried reload the map, I’ve tried resetting the game, I’ve tried resetting my xbox…
Is there any way to fix this, one that doesn’t involve redoing all those hours and hours of work?
The exact same thing happened to me under almost the exact same circumstances. I also blocked out the shape of a ship and locked it, and now I can’t select the block despite it still being physically there on the map.
I have the same problem aswell! I was making a prison on glacier and the floors of the prison and trees that I placed outside are all stuck there. I also have a problem with scripting terminals not staying in the place I put them.
Hopefully they fix these bugs in a patch soon…
EDIT: Found how to fix it!!!
Place down two objects
Make a new group
(You will now notice the groups that are inaccessible will glow in the green group color)

That helped a lot. If only I had known this sooner though. I restarted the first attempt on my map after getting a couple hours in, but at least I didn’t have to restart again. The first time I had the elevator I created lock up then the second time it was every sink I had in the hotel map I was creating.
