With the introduction of terrain in Halo MCC, I am very happy. But now it raises another issue. Nice, smooth, gradual hills are not and easy thing to do and make look nice. You can slightly turn terrain into a curve to eventually get somewhat of the outcome you are looking for, but it tends to turn out gross and bumpy. The current “hill” they give us is more like a mountain of dirt or a large mossy rock. Not a hill.
So what I am hoping for, is a terrain that is actually a hill or Curved Terrain.
Is it possible to make a Forge where you could modify the terrains? I don’t know, like Project spark?
Halo 2 Anniversery opens up a whole new level of forging. But it’s not nearly enough. The objects are too limited and similar. Maps will end up looking samey, and with repeated items all around. 343i either needs to go all out with 10 times as many terrain items and different textures available for each item (snow, desert, grass etc) or just make a -Yoink!- map creator already (yes, like Project Spark).
Honestly my number one request in Forge now is different textures for the objects. For structures you could go- Forerunner, UNSC, Civillian, Sandstone, Covenant, Mossy Rock, Ice etc.
I really feel like Forge lacks visual variety. It doesn’t help that the same items from Halo Reach (with new skins) are most of what we have available, but it’s not just that. Forging all your maps with the same gray walls gets old- and the same is true for terrain objects.
More color and variety would be nice.

Well, it won’t have to be nearly as complicated. Far Cry pulled it off on old-gen, so I’m sure the devs at 343i can figure something out
