Forge: "Baseplates"

I know there have been a ton of threads where people have posted their ideas for forge - enough to have a sub-forum dedicated specifically for forge ideas - and I am getting bored of them too, but I was inspired by someone else’s ideas thread to suggest something I call baseplates. This is NOT a suggestion to 343, nor is it a request, It’s just something I was thinking about.

Baseplates would be a sub-menu in the structure menu that would allow the user to place a 15x15 flat block of terrain.

For example:

-Baseplates
–Baseplate(Forerunner)
–Baseplate(Grass)
–Baseplate(Sand)
–Baseplate(Snow)
–Baseplate(Dusty)

I also thought that this could be expanded to allow the player to place a 3D area like a “Baseplate(forest)” or “Baseplate(riverbank)”. These would allow the player to combat the “wrong environment forge world” problem. What do you think?

I think it could never work that way because the baseplates would look weird and artificial, not to mention oddly repeating terrain.

a little late to be suggesting things

Have every side of the “cube” be a different small hill, or crater, or sloping terrain, with one completely flat side. This would let players place varying terrain pieces without it looking too repetitive.
