Forge: Armor Customization

I’m sure we all know that there has been quite a bit of frustration over armor customization in Halo 5. I personally am not overly concerned about this issue, but I do miss the EOD armor set (and no not because it looks like a storm trooper).

It would be neat to see an “forge” option for armor. I understand that this could be difficult to implement because of all the 3d movemeets, but I think it would be a great addition. Maybe have a quasi unlock system where different accomplishments grant you stylizing options?

How do you think they could make it work?

Me and my friend were actually discussing this a couple days ago. I don’t think armor would work due to graphical restriction and what not but what if you could paint your own weapon skins?

Ya I could see it being difficult to design. I was thinking that if they were to show buffer zones , like a 3d shadow/cloud that is a spatial limit around joints/areas of flex. And then areas of flex themselves can just be customizable under skin, or maybe specific prefabbed joints.

They could easily do weapon skins! Great idea! I would spend dozens of hours doing that. It’s just a static texture so it would be super easy. Great idea.

That sounds cool but im not sure 343 could pull it off.

“I personally am not overly concerned about this issue” WHERE IS THE DISLIKE BUTTON? Oh and what exactly are you trying to say? A “Forge option for armor” so the ability to place armor pieces in forge?

Well of course I like having customized armor sets. The current system isn’t great by any measure but it’s one of the last matters of import to me.

What I meant by “Forge option for armor” was a version of forge where instead of building maps, you build armor. So you can make your armor look exactly how you want it to.

Oh I see. That’s a great idea!
