Forge and DLC in War Games

Lately, I’ve been overwhelmed with forge maps in matchmaking. I can’t find a game whose players aren’t hell bent on playing on either simplex or settler, depending on the game type. Halo 4 has close to a dozen great maps that don’t need to be supplemented by forge maps! If 343 could make a forge playlist with one classic slayer option, one FFA option, and one objective option, that would be fantastic. As long as forge maps stay out of the other playlists.

The other thing I’ve been having trouble with is DLC. The castle playlist seems to be the only DLC I can access. I haven’t played matchmaking crimson or majestic in about two weeks, and I’m confused as to why no games will show. It’s like they’re all just gone. If anyone else is having similar problems, please say so.

The maps that came with the game and the DLC are good, I will admit. But sometimes a forge map comes along that out-does everything else. Look at Shutout. Clearly a fan-favorite, as it holds its roots in competitive Halo 2 gameplay.

Just don’t vote for those forge maps.
