Forge Always Online is ABSOLUTELY STUPID!

Honestly, why is internet connection required to Forge? Why does a feature that has little to no use for internet require an internet connection, when every other iteration of Forge didn’t require anything? What could possibly be so important that I can’t Forge offline?

More importantly, why when I go to load up a map on my hard drive, do I have to wait twelve hours to “retrieve data”. What data are you retrieving? It’s on my damn hard drive! This also means that if I work on a map for hours and hours, yet when I save, if there is an internet issue, my progress is unsaved. Now if I were to leave and come back, my work is gone. Everything I’ve been doing, gone.
This has happened to me multiple times.

I really hope this fixed soon, as my internet isn’t exactly reliable.
This really bug anyone else?

All multiplayer modes need to connect to the dedicated servers to function, so logically even a mode like forge since it is technically a multiplayer function also has to be online to connect to the servers. Yeah it sucks but it’s not going to change.

Welcome to Digital future

Well, the map isn’t on your HDD… It’s stored in the cloud, everything in H5 forge is. For example, I could add you to my friends, and then steal your maps directly from the cloud right now without you even being online or having your xbox connected to the internet.
