Hey guys! Another quick question. What do you think forge in Halo 4 needs? I personally think it needs more pre-built structures, a new HUGE forge map, remake of foundry, and less forerunner building pieces. That’s what I think, but I want to know what YOU think. Please post what you want to see in the new forge down below. Thanks!

I want a hell of a lot more colour variety then Reach had. As well as moving platforms.
Weather options.
Let me think…
- The ability to start a test game from the pause menu.
- More colour variety, not slabs of grey.
- The addition of functions such as copy, paste, group, ungroup etc.
- Manually enter the dimensions of a Zone, rather than going in intervals of 0.1
- Change the settings for different parts of a map (e.g make a low gravity section).
- The ability to have full Forge options on every map.
- Animate objects to move (although this could get complicated).
- More natural features.

Well since we’re stealing crap from other games, we might as well have a Far Cry map editor.
90% of the map content from Halo 3 & Reach went totally unused and unnoticed. What we really need is a playlist dedicated for community content. We need a streamlined system for the community to promote content to the community playlist and a robust feedback system to help rank order maps / games and provide cartographers meaningful feedback.
Without proper matchmaking support for community maps / games… forge will once again be a massive waste.

Like Making Enemy Spawns?
I want a switch that could be connected to any object and could make something move, explode, disappear or appear, or shoot.
Also more variety in materials and colours for objects
And modifiable vehicles, like changing it’s colour, weapon and other parts.
would want at least 2 big forge world like maps. and to be able to change weather. like raining, snowing, night and day

Technically it is 3.0. I think it’s more like 2.0 because Halo Reach forge was more like forge 1.5, good, but not great.

Forge 2.0 was Halo Reach. But yeah i just cant wait for what they have in store for us.
I’d like it if they could make it close to Minecraft or something you know. We should be able to set up traps, doors with open and close switches etc. That would be really cool. But they don’t need to add everything in the same go. They can just make it better slighly each game until it’s perfect. Or as close to perfect as it can be. That’s my opinion.
It’ll be good if they put like themes for their “New Forge World in”
So it looks different eg, their could be a map with just the bare structure of halo on it or one with green forests on it
I’d like them to inlcude trees in forge and Landmasses! and maybe more colourful textures,

I agree with the color palate option. I hated being stuck with just the default world color palate. I would settle for having the option to pick a faction. Say if you want to make a base look human, you get to select building blocks from the UNSC. Forerunners it’s Forerunner. So on and so forth.
I’m pretty sure it’s Forge 3.0. They had forge in Halo 3 too, just saying.
Anyways, I’d like a level creator, more stuff to use, and more forged maps and maps to forge on that are like Forge World.
Not to be a correcting -Yoink-, but wouldnt this be forge 3.0?
Anyway, changable wheather. Changable time of day. Every vehicle save for longswords and anything larger than that. The ability to take turrets off of vehicles without glitching.
Placeable gravitational zones: Two different types. One simply to lower the gravity like we saw in Anchor 9 and we can change how much gravity we want in that area (via hill markers) and hill markers where we can change the direction of gravity. This would be a HUGE bonus for forgers as it would allow us to do anything. Could you imagine a map, essentially a square, with cover dotted all around and you could iterally walk on the walls? Just a simple jump and enter one of those gravitational areas. This would affect everything, not just you spartan. Be it grenades, rockets, rubble, vehicles etc. Could you imagine the race tracks we’d be able to make? THis would be fonominal!
A more diverse color palette
Land pieces (grass, dessert, sand, ice, etc)
Weather options - imagine a wet, stormy game of slayer, 1 life each
Guns and platforms that you can set to shoot/move on their own, like you would take a platforms, and press “Start path”, etc. and then you would move it to or in any way, then hit “End Path”, etc. and It could do that over and over
Let us Use Pelicans, Phantoms, Spirits and even Scarabs maybe
Altitude locks, for when your trying to line up to platforms for example
Let us put down A.I., and set them to Chase, Evade, Attack, Idle, etc.
