Forfeiting Option in Multiplayer (READ THROUGH)

I would like to see 343 Industries implement this option, on the condition you were outnumbered in a match, however, the definition of outnumbered should be classified by two players against one, and the forfeit would require a unanimous team vote with the remaining members. The forfeit option will not replace, the quit and be penalized option in the start menu, the forfeit option will simply pop-up once for the team that has been classified as outnumbered and they need to make a quick vote to declare or decline a forfeit; the decision is final, unless another teammate quits, to which it cycles the prompt again; if no vote or selection is made it defaults to continued play. No forfeit option will be available in any free-for-all based playlist. Quitting players will be penalized with a loss and reputation penalty on their player I.D.

Example: For this example I am going to use a generic 4v4 slayer-based match.

  • 1 v 4 (Option available) - 2 v 4 (Option available) [Veto required: 2] - 3 v 4 (No option) - 4 v 4 (No option)Example: For this example I am going to use a big team battle scale of 8v8.

  • 1 v 8 (Option available) - 2 v 8 (Option available) [Veto required: 2] - 3 v 8 (Option available) [Veto required: 3] - 4 v 8 (Option available) [Veto required: 4] - 5 v 8 (No option) - 6 v 8 (No option) - 7 v 8 (No option) - 8 v 8 (No option)In the instance of a declared forfeit:

  • Blue Team (Forfeit) - The forfeit match is a unique variant on the win, loss or draw scale to which none is awarded, and the match is declassified, or redacted, from the stricken record of the player; this includes, but is not limited to, a players individual medals, kill-death ratio, commendations. The only available bonus is the in-game experience from the match and any possible xbox achievements that may have unlocked within the time frame of play. This result makes the entire game forfeit. - Red Team (Did Not Finish) - Having not finished the game due to an unfair technicality, the opposing team is not hindered by any drawbacks from a forfeited match, instead they are still offered a win for the match, awarded their individual medals, kill-death ratios, commendations and xbox achievements. In the instance of a declined forfeit:

  • Blue Team (Did Not Forfeit) - This team has been classified as outnumbered and has been given the option to forfeit, however, the overall remaining players have elected to continue the match. The game continues as a normal win, loss or draw scenario.

Or maybe they could the game could automatically balance the teams so instead of it being 2v4 they would balance it to 3v3

And why can’t you discuss this in the other forfeit thread?

> And why can’t you discuss this in the other forfeit thread?

The reason being is because this is my fully described idea and it is a poll, which is not included in the other thread. The other thread simply suggests forfeiting and doesn’t put an example forward.
