Which commendation do you prefer, and why?
Foreunner Destroyer: Max out enemy Promethean’s.
CTF Victory Master: Win 150 Capture the Flag games.
I would rather go after Forerunner Destroyer. CTF never works out for me, and I enjoy playing Spartan Ops, especially with friends. I like the normal Vanguard armor more that the skinned version anyway.
Spartan Ops already feels like grinding to me even without actually grinding for anything, so I wouldn’t want to compound that feeling.
Oddly enough, all I really play is Spartan Ops and CTF.
So I’ll hit one of them eventually. 
CTF. I don’t feel like grinding in spartan ops, it’s just too repetitive for me. I almost have vanguard unlocked though, I’m at 18/150 wins for CTF and I’ve finished every other commendation in that category.
by default, forerunner destroyer. Eveeytime I join a ctf match, it seems to details evolve into a 15 minute slayer match
they rate about the same for me. im almost done with forerunner destroyer but its a ridiculous grind and because of how spops is set up theres no way to actually “farm” anything. and with ctf…well i usually play by myself so i hardly ever get a decent game.
Although some of the numbers are unreasonable for the Forerunner commendation I am happier about that one since I know it’s in my own destiny and I can get it if I simply put the time into it.
One of the problems with the ‘win 150 matches of X gametype’ commendations are that you’re also dependent on your teammates. If one of them goes idle or quits out or decides to drive a mongoose around aimlessly for the whole match you’re pretty much up the creek without a paddle.
I’d take both of those over the Flood Victory one.
ctf. .no way am I grinding a.i kills
Not a fan of both, b/c i don’t like objective games, and to find Forerunners, specifically Crawler Snipers and Knight Commanders is hell to find, lol. Although they are on Spartan Millar, they are hard as hell on Legendary. But i would go for Forerunner Destroyer anyway.
I already got destroyer but not flag yet. I want to go for flag, and the rest of commendations.
2 more CTF wins and I’m an Expert so I’ll just keep going with that I think. I only did the Spartan ops ones for XP before I was 130.

I’ve completed Forerunner Destroyer, but I’m so close to CTF Victory. I actually don’t even like the CTF Vanguard as much as the other one.

I remember in Halo 3 I had to get my Skill rank up in Lone Wolves because it took forever to rank up in Team Slayer. I eventually learned talking to them with my mic is pretty much pointless because they either don’t no English or just don’t care about strategy.
Same thing in Halo 4, first time I checked my Slayer Commendations everything was mastered… except Slayer Victory. Luckily the few people that are left in Halo 3 nowadays aren’t as ignorant as they used to be.

That’s exactly why I chose Forerunner Destroyer. Because I can’t depend on my teammates for anything, especially in a strategic gametype like CTF.
As I already have the Forerunner Destroyer commendation I am now about to start on the CTF.
Like the Slayer & Dominion commendations I already have in game types I will be doing it with random team-mates as my friends are SWAT/GrifBall players mostly.
I will not touch a team playlist unless my buddies are online. without a team it’s just not worth it.
we can go on 10 win streaks lose one and then carry on with another streak. being a big objective playlist fan it’s essential to have a full team from experience.

So, are you saying you only have good teammates in Swat and Grifball?
