Forerunner Warzone map?

I may be part of a minority who wants this in Halo 5, but I think the possible inclusion of a Forerunner-themed Warzone map would be a refreshing taste after playing the other Warzone maps for so long. While may seem too late to include it at this point of Halo 5’s life, this concept would seem almost perfect if the game were to have one last content update of sorts.

What do you guys think of this idea?

I’m not sure how it would work with keeping in line with 343’s current design philosophy of keeping the same UNSC base models and seemingly building a map around them. No matter how forerunner-y you make the map look, the points of focus are going to end up being UNSC.

I suppose the middle point on Temple is unique. They could do something like that, and have UNSC bases as A and C. But that’s basically what Raid on Apex 7 is, so the map may not feel unique.

I suppose either way though, new WarZone map = win! WarZone has grown somewhat dull for me and a new map may bring me back.

I’d be fine with that. Make it look all forerunner shiny and stuff, like add some forerunner ships (props) in the background fighting Covies or the UNSC or both.

I am down for one, although the bases might just make them seem out place due to being UNSC.

It may not always have to be the UNSC; Forerunner bases could serve well too, even if the changes are purely cosmetic.

Yeah thats true, although its most likely is gonna be UNSC bases.

New WZ maps are always a good thing in my book. Especially as it give you something new to explore. I’m okay with having the entire map be Forerunner themed including the bases.

Maybe they could do something on Onyx with small dots of forerunner architecture in various places while still keeping the UNSC bases since it was a hidden UNSC base for Spartan III’s. It could fit since warzone is part of the wargames simulation. I’m not the best in design but would be cool to see

That’s exactly why I feel that if WZ just utilized dev BTB maps, it’d be far better than the current system of recycled bases. It could just use the BTB red and blue bases which would be unique per map, unique capture points per map, REQ station Forge pieces placed throughout…

It’d be perfect. Either bump WZ down to 8v8, or find a compromise and make BTB support 10v10. There is a better way than the current system. WZ could just be one of many game modes in a full, long list of gametypes like older Halo’s. It needs to happen next time, for the sake of providing all Halo players, no matter how they choose to define their Halo experience, with the most value and variety possible.

The split content pools are not the way to go.
