Forerunner Vision.....

This new armor ability will either be extremely OP or extremely useless. I think it will be the latter. What’s the point of seeing through walls when you got a radar? The only way I see anyone using this is noobs who can’t read their radar.

What does op mean?

Radar doesn’t pick up enemies who are crouching or standing still.

But yeah, it’s gonna be like you said, either really OP or not that useful.

> What does op mean?

In this context “Over Powered” , sometimes it’s referred to the “Original poster”.

> What does op mean?

Overpowered

However, it can also mean Original Post or Poster, but in this case, it means Overpowered.

> What does op mean?

Orange Peel

Yeah true, but if you have a mic and you play with a full party, it’s going to be really useless

> What does op mean?

Short for Overpowered in this scenario.

On topic: I can see it as a way to spot campers safely where it could be tricky to use a hologram and reveal you are close by.

I agree with you though. However, some AAs have that effect in Reach. I find Jetpack to be pointless in some maps, yet very useful in Sword Base. At the same time, I find Active Camo to be awesome in BTB, yet useless to me in team slayer.

We’ll need more info on what exactly can this ability do. We’ll need 343 to spill the beans.

Frankie did say on NeoGaf that it is an ability that experienced players would try once and then overlook in favour of other abilities. So I guess it’s catered more to new players.

exactly who 343i is trying to appeal to.

I’ve only got one thing to say about Forerunner vision… have fun HLG guys…

Imo it’s going to ridiculously op in the right hands.
Imagine if your playing a full team that’s partied up and one guy is using forerunner vision to call out your whole teams position, I can see it being the al of Halo 4.

I take that as bieng a nice noob tool.

Obviously they wouldn’t put it in, if there was no use for it, think about it, they designed the effing game, it will probably be very useful. Stop think so negatively, otherwise there is no chance you’ll enjoy the game if you’re already expecting it to fail.

I’ve got hope that it doesn’t actually show players through walls and instead only shows equipment and weapons.
That would tie in perfectly with what Frankie is saying about it being used less by experience players because the experienced would learn when and where weapons spawn.

I couldn’t see it working like that becuase from what we know so far there are no equipment pick ups and the weapons spawn randomly so that would make it equally helpful for experienced players.

Probably it might only show enemies holding power weapons.

Has no one played Gears of War 3? You know the tactical vision? Yeah, that’s what Forerunner Vision is, you can take that to the bank. It’s not for seeing enemies you dopes, its for finding the semi-randomly spawning weapons on the maps.

It will be rather OP for calling out.

…Seriously? You want us to wait and see how X-ray vision will affect gameplay?

We can already figure out that it’ll be detrimental to gameplay. There isn’t much need to see it in action to know what will happen.
