forerunner vehicles.

So just asking the waypointers if you think that we would ever get a chance to see forerunner vehicles made with the old forerunner design. Obviously some of you think that which old style specifically.

Basically it could be any of the designs from original trilogy given they dont have that major changes.

Just curious since the newer “promethean” design is just really, repulsive, without a better word to describe it that i can think of with my foreigner vocabulary. But this is not the topic to focus on how either one looks so i leave that here.
Just put that there as to what is the partial reason for the topic.

Basically, what i think there is either no chance or a slim chance (if you believe the world is a place of endless possibilities with varying likeliness).

But what i also want to know is that whether there are others who would be interested to see such things.

It will be interesting to see, since the art style of the trailer is more of a classic look.

I personally would love some new vehicles.

The challenge will be if they are more “oldschool Forerunner” or “newschool Promethean” in art design.

I’m not too worried about the art myself, I’d just love to see some new vehicles!

Prometheans at least could have decent ending, unlike Jul, but before that would definitely be better to see some land vehicles of them for example or just more vehicle variation in general.

But i would much prefer to see some oldschool Halo forerunner design vehicles. Like the “forerunner tank” that was planned for Halo 2. Just something from one of the old designers.

I would love to see both styles return. I like the phaeton but really think some sort of 2 wheeled vehicle would suit the Forerunner aesthetic. Come to think of it I would love to see all the vehicles that have appeared in the series up until this point, especially the falcon, damn I miss that thing.

Pretty much agree with that though I doubt the ones making decisions would put resources to that and then there is also the timeline/location things as when and where certain vehicles were/are active.

Yeah the possibility is quite low considering it’s a new engine and I have no idea how easy it would be to import old assets

how do I get it

We are long overdue for some Forerunner vehicles, in my opinion. They could really go all out and give us some wacky, unique designs; as long as they follow the Forerunner/Sentinel artstyle set by Bungie.

On a side note, who wants to see some more colour in 343i’s Forerunner designs? In Halo 2, some Sentinels were grey with orange beams and others were gold with blue beams. In Halo 3, there are some bronze walls and some gold walls as well aa the standard metallic grey. The lights in Bungie’s Foreunner architecture weren’t always the same constant shade of blue (with extreme lensflare like 343i’s), and doors usually displayed green or red lights to convey whether or not they were unlocked (while Covenant doors always shone blue instead of green). There are some locations that look the same while others are very different, yet all still maintaining that same established Forerunner architecture:
The architecture on the Silent Cartographer and The Ark is pretty much the same. The layout of the research facilities in 343 Guilty Spark and The Oracle mimic one another. The design for the doors on the Threshold gas mine can be seen around the elevators on The Covenant in Halo 3. Halo 3’s Halo is just an updated version of the designs from Assault on the Control Room.
Bungie’s Halo CE’s Halo, Silent Cartographer, Assault on the Control Room and Library areas are all very distinguished from one another. The structures on Halo 2’s Regret are quite different from those in Quarantine Zone, and then again on Uprising.
There is plenty of variety when it comes to Forerunner architecture in Bungie’s games (CE, 2, 3 and Reach) which are best seen in Classic mode, but also certain aspects that always remain consistent, and certain shapes and patterns that repeat through all of Bungie’s games. I encourage everyone to take the time to observe and take note of Bungie’s Forerunner environments (which look the best in Halo 3 in my opinion) the next time they play the Campaign and/or Multiplayer. That’s what we need to see more of in 343i’s games.

…Wow. Went off on a bit of a tangent there. :stuck_out_tongue:

The artstyle seems to be classic, but the Forerunner artstyle was noticeable different. It looks akin to 343’s, but itsn’t over-detailed like Bungie.

I just want the Prometheans to have a counter to both the Warthog and Scorpion. It doesn’t fit seeing advanced AI controlling vehicles from other species (unless they have no choice, but that’s another circumstance).
