A few weeks ago I was recording Forerunner Glyphs in the Halo Series for Halopedia. And noticed a variant that kept popping up in Halo CEA, Halo 4, and also once in Halo 5.That variant is this. Linky to an example
Now one could of thought these glyphs are random. I originally thought so. Regardless I stilll recorded all the glyphs I could find.
Thoughout my studies I noticed there was 26 symbols used throughout Halo CEA, Halo 4, and Halo 5. Still with the mind set they were random. All 26 symbols.
Till I saw the Eld in Halo 4 close up.
Now this Eld has these symbols spiraling around. And if you put the symbols into lines. You may notice a pattern if you pair it with Cortanas translation.
“Guardianship for all living things lies with those whose evolution is most complete. The Mantle of Responsibility shelters all.”
The symbols actually make that.(I was kinda surprised when I saw that it actually translated perfectly) Eld Translated.
This logically gives us a lot of the Alphabet.
Now if we look at this. The Requiem Co-ordinates.
We realize they arnt really co-ordinates. But more am alphabet. Though sadly in this IJKL arnt in this no matter how much you maneuver the cutscene. We already have “I” and “L” from the Eld though. Leading JK still missing.
Now how do we get JK. Well K appears in a word in a very hard to translate place. A Spartan Ops cutscene. Slipspace artifact glyphs
Now while hard to see. The word link does appear in it.
Now cause we have 25 letters translated we can very easily assume what J is.
Now this is what the full alphabet looks like. New Forerunner Alphabet.

Well currently the translations only clarify the obvious from what we are told in cutscenes. Like in Spartan Ops. Halsey having one look at the Artifact Crimson brought onboard. And reading “Techlink Established Forerunner” lead her to believe a link between Requiem and the Forerunner engines was created.
Or in the Halo CEA terminals, Guilty Spark “Bio Scanning” the Pillar of Autumn. Cause you know that is kinda important to see if the Flood are onboard.

11 days. Thats how long it took. Well 11 days since I went into Halo CEA’s terminals and started to record all the symbols in it.
Great job CIA, I am absolutely fascinated with enigmatic languages whether they are real or fictional, so this post made me real happy. And thanks for your contribution to the Forerunner symbols article, it has really improved over the last couple of months. Now we just need to figure out ancient Sangheili - Topal

How did Requiem know “117” leading to Cortana being confused when the Knights started to appear. One mystery solved leads to another being asked.

Single best, and easiest to refer to evidence, that the Librarian planned for the Master Chief, not a person like the master chief.

Now it could of been the Librarian just checking John-117s tag and using it. Freaking out Cortana.
Or even Cortana just putting it up in her monitor.
Could we try applying this to the terminal with the unidentified alien ship in CEA? There may well be an answer there to one of the most burning questions in the past few years… if I had the time I’d try myself, honestly

That transmission is only Guilty Spark trying and failing to translate the message.
I got nothing but jibberous cause its not meant to make anything sadly. Guilty Spark even says it himself.
“I am currently translating this automated broadcast, but with such a limited data set and no direct communication, I do not anticipate full comprehension.”
But you can apply it to the earlier terminals and you can translate them easy. So yea. The cipher is used.
