Anyone else having trouble getting into forerunner Slayer? Over only been able to play once all weekend and I keep getting the message that there are not enough people.
Ive been playing it all weekend. Have you tried changing your search preference in the social arena screen to Expanded?
I won’t play it because I don’t like forerunner weapons.

Oh wow I didn’t even realize but apparently it was switched to focused… Well this is embarrassing… Wonder when that happened. Thanks for the newb advice I feel silly for not checking this first.

I’m not big on them either but trying to finish off my sentinel beam commendation like 3 kills left. And even after changing back to expanded it’s still difficult to match I guess not a lot of love for the forerunner junk.
Yeah, there doesn’t seem to be many people playing it unfortunately.
Those weapons were a bit more cool in Halo 4 tbh

Ive been running it on Expanded and still cant find anyone. Imma try resetting it and then runing it again.
I had no problems getting into matches for Forerunner Slayer, but my search settings were expanded and just a minority took more than 2 min to matchmake. I’m usually garbage at Halo related PVP but maybe I got better last weekend. Actually completed my splinter grenade commendations (the goalposts are not nearly as high as UNSC frag grenades) and big progress on boltshot and suppressor kills.

Don’t feel bad. My party leader has his set on “focused” and for some reason it would kick me and one other player from the party when it found a game, every time. Good luck

I think it’s not the most popular rotational playlist so availability of games will depend on the time of day. I couldn’t find anything last night on focused, but I’ll try expanded tonight. Granted, if it takes over 30 seconds I just switch to Core Play.
Yeah, I haven’t been able to find a single game. I was looking forward to playing it to get my Suppressor commendation, but I haven’t been able to find a match. Changed my search preferences but no luck.

Thats basically my answer though I usually go to Super Fiesta. Seems more people play that than Core even.

I never have any trouble finding a match for that gametype, even on Balanced. And thank goodness, because I need Promethean weapon comms. But yeah, Super Fiesta is the most popular playlist so just do that if you’re impatient. Core Play is unusually slow for me, which makes sense because it’s basically Team Arena on Social matchmaking, and who wants that? TA was always supposed to be competitive.

I play a lot of super fiesta and btb fiesta but neither are great for the sentinel beam com. due to the overpowered nature of that game type. Great if you get like open hand or razors edge but all I had left was the beam so not getting matched was a bummer. Good luck on those still going for the others I’m down to my final 2 weapon comms. (Smg and dmr)

The way I finished my sential beam was to use it and a plasma pistol and essentially noob combo to get it. Can be done in warzone as well since you can spawn them both for little req energy.

I enjoy new playlist with it being double xp. But i feel the playlist is really slow when you get in the game. Also the population is low seems like.

Thank you! It does feel incredibly slow.
That being said, last night I didn’t have nearly as much trouble finding a game as before.

Yeah I have ran across a lot of people that do not really like the forerunner Slayer for that reason. But it is a nice little change from the usually slayer. What is your favorite mode to play?
