It would be nice to have a base gravemind with tentacle turrets; infection forms that convert enemy units, carrier forms as suicide bombers & versatile pure forms as infantry; juggernauts & keyminds as “siege”, &c.
As well, sentinels, watchers, crawlers & knights are perfect options for the forerunner. The enforcer can be a very good “siege”.
As for the supermachines, we surely can come up with options to face both scarabs & vultures. Even a smaller Guardian could be good for the forerunners.
Is there any chance to expand the strategy game to let us act as the other antagonists?

It’s doubtful. Although it’s had longer legs because of its PC base and the fact that RTS games are a bit more of a niche, I would expect the only thing we would see as far as updates go for HW2 is quality of life, especially in relation to the bug of rampant game crashing. The game is 3.5 years old, and is the worst selling Halo game to date - not a whole lot of reason to continue to throw time and money into the game, especially with larger updates like leaders.
Keep playing and enjoying the game in its current state, though!
