Forerunner art style change?

They showed a tiny amount of forerunner architecture in the new trailer and it looked more reminiscent of the halo ce-3 art/design but they also display a tower that look like halo wars design forerunner ships. Do we think this means we will see a marriage of these old styles cutting out the 4-5 design or are you expecting a visual -Yoink!- of all eras of forerunner design?

I personally liked 4’s design best.

Honestly I think the little Forerunner architecture we saw in Reach is the perfect marriage between the 3 and 4 styles. Specifically the ones in the DLC maps, not the Forge World stuff.

Personally I dislike the Halo 2 take on Forerunner architecture. It was bland and lacking personality, and for some reason it was mixed in with like Mayan stone ruins which Infinite seems to be mirroring with the stone circles, which also confusingly resemble the Halo 3 key art with the collapsed orbital elevator.

Infinite’s Forerunner designs have been all over the place ever since it was revealed. I documented the changes between 2018’s and 2019’s Forerunner art style a while back (to disprove a leak that sure enough was false). On the new cover art it looks closer to 343 than 2019, but closer to Bungie than 2018. I personally believe that the shape design of Forerunner buildings will be more Bungie-esque while the metallic appearance of 343’s style will probably be dominant.

Probably a mesh of the two. I honestly think 343 gave personality to the foreruner architeture in Halo 4 instead of the bland, dull grey and lifeless Forerunner architeture from the past. They don’t need to go on the edges of the two extremes, but I hope they consider to keep them both at the game, so as every other visual interpretations like weapons, armors and vehicles.

I feel like the old style could be classified as having spindly lines and arms, things running in parallel or at angles giving the feeling of elements of architecture disconnected; but also a feeling of something that might last for 10000 years

I feel like reach fits with this
And in contrast 4-5 are all about actual disconnected architecture and floating elements that are also all super layered like an onion …
Some feels like it could last (but onion look) others feel like I could misplace part of it with my

I had a ton of examples linked but waypoint wouldn’t let me post until I deleted all of them
