If Halo 5 truly does take a darker turn, and the Flood storyline returns, I think it would be cool to have some of the failed “Un-Composed” experiments make an appearance, even if only in stasis tubes. (When the Librarian mentioned that trying to return composed beings to their biological form resulted in abominations.) Escalation seems to be hinting that the Composers will still be relevant in the near future of the storyline, so why not?
i always felt the term abomination was implied like that of the bible. implying doing so would denote grave moral offenses but not inherently evil just a taboo that goes against the Natural progression… simply put. I would most likely expect those experiments to end like 1986 “The Fly” thats my take on it.
Promethean are considered abomination by 859 in escalation 9, so i would be interested to know if any forerunners did do this that said composing being is also.

i thought that the composer only digitized organics. In an effort to be immune from the flood the Ur didact did experiments on himself which mutated him and made him unable to be composed. until he got hit by multiple composers by Blue team
I feel like it’s an aborted plot element of the knights. Early designs had them much more monstrous. The current version still has some weird body driving them.
