Forced to make a smurf account

I guess I have to go get a new account because the ranking system is matching me up against onyx and champion level players when I’m only platinum 1, I’m rank 93 but I don’t play nearly as much because of work, I am in favor of smurf accounts now until the fix the ranking system

I just seen your recemt losses, not one of them was at onyx or champ lvl …

I’d assumed so because they were high levels

I see for some reason it’s matching up against diamond level players, still reason enough to make a smurf account I say, I should be playing people m own skill level not having to quit the game Everytime I see Jerome and ruin the game for others.

I’m a rank 75 and it keeps giving me teammates that are rank 25 and below

lol. “assumed

Your initial claim seems a little off.

There are a handful of Diamond-level opponents, but also a decent smattering of Plats, Golds, and even Silvers in your recent lost games.

For starters, maybe you should try not resigning every time you see Jerome. It’s not the character that is good, but the player that’s using him. I can only hope that our playerbase grows to learn quitting just because they see a character that makes them unhappy is an ineffective way of reacting and only harmful to fellow players.

The learning that should be taken away from this thread OP.
Don’t assume & losing is part of learning. I recently lost to a Onyx player last 10 games somewhere in there… loved the experience learnt a lot.
Keep at it, you’ll learn.

I do not believe the matchmaking takes your ‘rank’ into consideration. Instead its your MMR that matters: Champ, onyx, diamond, plat etc

‘Rank’ is an indication of overall experience and not skill. So it means nothing to the matchmaking system.

Level doesn’t have much to do by way of rank or skill. It’s just how much you’ve played.

Making a smurf won’t guarantee you to play lower level peeps either.

I’m a platinum 2 in 3v3 war right now and trust me my teammates are playing like they are straight out of the tutorial

Yeah, like any game there are some dummies out there - always a range of skill levels. An RTS can make that especially frustrating of course.

Generally speaking, and others might disagree, but I think its not really until you’re in diamond that you start meeting mostly competent players who know what they’re doing.

Try post a ‘looking for a group’ on xbox or jump into a team war and message someone you think played well to ask if they wanna play ranked with you. Messaging gg after a game helps with that sort of thing. Alternatively you can play solo war …

JP Brutes, skitterers, chosen, marauders, can slow them down. Hunters and Scorch Mortar wraiths can destroy them and kill everything inside after they get out.

I learned a pretty awesome atriox build from a loss. Learn from losses because they can often show you where you went wrong.

I disagree a bus with snipers and another with Marines is dumb, the snipers take out chosen before he can get any good amount of dmg out. T2 vehicles as banished are a joke and the sniper bus squashes m early ge

if they have an entire mastodon filled with snipers then that’s a huge pop investment that’s only good against infantry

just shoot it they aren’t that good anyways

One full of snipers back in up his hero is nasty enough for me to never play against him ever

Then you might as well quit against every other leader because sniper mastodons is pretty low on the cheese scale
