120 matches in, haven’t noticed a thing. Can’t even tell who has what input. Maybe I’m just lucky. Or unobservant.
Accuracy means nothing especially with bloom in the game.
While I believe crossplay should be optional, outright exclusion never benefits anyone.
Everyone here complaining about cheaters when I think most people just plan out suck. I am top of the leaderboard 4 out 5 games…and I am not even good. Are there cheaters? I guess, but that doesnt change the fact that people just suck at infinite.
My advise? Lower your dang sensitivity. I play with my mouse sensitivity way down and that is why I can land shots.
Also play smarter. Stop bomb rushing for SPNKR just to get killed while running to it. Stop reloading instead of switching weapons. Stop holding your overshield just to get killed with it. Stop trying to sprint away from combat you wont make it. Stop using the commando ;P. Start picking up battlerifle. Stop using sniper when you miss your first or second shot up close. Stop driving away in your warthog without a gunner, Stop driving your warthog straight into combat and getting naded,. Stop wasting your wasp by getting killed instantly in it. Start playing objectives. Start thinking logically about where your enemy is because when you spawn you should know by your location. Stop trying to lonewolf and start to group with your team. Start to pace your shots with your sidekick. Start using your grapple to get to high places and assess where the enemy is. Stop using the pulse carbine up close it is meant for distance. Start using the ninja tactic. The list is endless. I see people making mistakes all the time.
Even with the cheaters, I manage to make top leaderboard and I think its because I play Halo at a slower pace. Just stop getting yourself killed all the time.
Crossplay iself didn’t ruin it. PC players ruined it. PC players ruin everything.
I think you’re wrong on this, controller player have an advantage on aim, sure they move better and take avantage of the gadget but nothing impossible for a controller user yet in fact the crazy slide tech and grapple mechanics have been found by controller users lol.
I dont think it’s a good thing to blame people who push the sandbox since it’s the goal of the game.
And just to know how do you know you’ve been killed by a K&M user ?
Yeah I hate playing against pc kids and especially because hackers can hack and never get banned, and pc players have a mouse with the sensitivity setting up crazy and be able to turn around just with the flick of the mouse like come on
Because when you go into their profile it has a picture of a pc in top left hand corner. That’s how I know.
Yeah we dont have that. Or at least I dont so I dunno where the f you’re getting that information.
The only thing auto aim does is slightly tug when you go to pull off an enemy, this is barely noticeable and even less at higher sensitivity.
Your crosshair does not follow players, bullets do not home, hit boxes arent bigger. At this point people are just making up this garbage haha
How has it ruined it? i mean i understand as a PC player when the cheaters gets into the game… otherwise i dont see it as a problem…
I have 21 hours in now and have not experienced any cheating. I’m playing on PC as well, and games seem pretty balanced.
You’ve pretty much answered your own question.
I’m glad for you. But that doesn’t take away the fact I and many others have, just go look on YouTube.
Well if developers (not only halo) just could create a anticheat that has to be activated all the time for pc players, like “easy anticheat” or something that records movement, aim snapping etc cheating wouldnt be a problem.
Unfortunately it seems that the people who create the cheats are a lot better at it than the people who design the game. I’ve said before Cross-play is a great idea in theory. But their will always be people who don’t want to learn to improve there abilities and would just rather cheat.
To clarify, we’re in beta. Most of the issues that surround gameplay options are because we’re in beta. Crossplay by default, limited playlists, all beta related for testing purposes. This has been covered, this has been beaten to death, yet some players want to choose this anthill to die on.
This is a fundamental misunderstanding of a Mouse’s strong points. Precision is possible, but it’s strength lies in rapid response times. Being able to 180 in a moments notice, rapid flicking, but precision is something most PC players actually don’t strictly rely on from a mechanical standpoint.
Mouse users don’t visualize a point they want to hit and precisely hit it. Wide sweeping movements are much easier to track than small jolts. Even crouching once or twice is more than enough to throw a Mouse user off to gain an advantage.
Cheating/hacking on the other hand isn’t a PC exclusive trait. It’s not even statistically more abundant and has been ramping up in relevance since the 360 days. Unless you have definitive proof of cheaters, it’s difficult to believe the claim.
Personally I have yet to come across anyone I even suspect of using unfair or illegal means of gaining an advantage in Halo. Take it from someone who has several hundred hours of rooting out and documenting hackers in CSGO.
Ahh so it’s not pc fault it’s everyone else. And as I’ve said before just because you’ve been lucky not to run into cheaters doesn’t mean they don’t exist. A quick search of YouTube show your wrong. An hacking on consoles is possible yes but it’s instances versus pc are minuscule. An the defence of its a beta is just plain bollocks. If they can have a fully functional microtransaction economy then they can’t use it’s a beta as a defence.
An yeah it might have been beaten to death this argument but how does any of that diminish any one else’s arguments. If they chosen to release an unbalanced bug guy game with a fully working predatory microtransaction shop then every single bit of criticism is justified not matter how many times or different people say it.
No, don’t put words in my mouth because you’re upset.
I’ve seen the videos, and I didn’t say they don’t exist. I’m suggesting they aren’t as rampant as players make them out to be. So I’m not wrong, there’s no need to project your assumptions of what you wanted me to say.
Again, I have hundreds of hours identifying actual hackers and processing them for bans in CSGO to the point it’s relatively easy to identify when someone is blatantly cheating, hiding their cheats, and when someone isn’t cheating at all. That’s only in CS, when it comes to games like Overwatch I have more experience reporting and gaining feedback on potential (and at times proven) cheaters.
I have yet to come across any suspected hackers in game. If they were as common as players like you make them out to be I surely would’ve at the very least seen one by now.
This is factually incorrect. Consoles have been easier to break with every passing generation. Xbox One consoles are little more than prefabricated custom built PC’s. They even use a variant of Windows 10 as an operating system. Knowing this, it’s not difficult to understand that hacking a console and installing 3rd party programming into it is a relatively simple process.
It’s apples to eggshells my guy, there’s a stark difference between implementing monetary transaction systems and conducting system/server stability tests. I’m not saying you have no right to be upset, but you clearly misunderstand the technical differences between these systems enough to improperly conflate them.
Your arguments diminish when you improperly form your arguments or improperly conflate reasons behind them.
343 didn’t release a buggy game, they made it quite clear this is in Beta and that most mechanic and gameplay related issues are attributed to the beta status. One of the biggest issues currently facing the game is being banned from Ranked for game crashes. However, when you appeal your ban 343 support makes it explicitly clear that they understand the situation and rectify it immediately promising a fix soon.
You can have your gripes with the microtransactions, which by all means feel free to. But I’d hardly call them predatory. Completely optional, no gameplay effects (aside from boosts, which might be the only slightly predatory aspect), entirely cosmetic? This is nothing like Battlefront II’s system, or like FIFA’s system which actually legally were considered predatory.
Like I said you’re welcome to be upset, but your arguments are kinda hollow.
I want the ability to disable crossplay, It’s really not asking much, MCC had the option so there isn’t really an excuse for it not to exist in Infinite other than to force the cross-population count to stay high.
While you may experience some bumps and bugs during this beta period, it does mark the official start of Halo Infinite Season 1, with all day-one maps and modes enabled as well as the full Season 1 Battle Pass.” - https://www.halowaypoint.com/news/welcome-to-the-halo-infinite-mp-beta Kinda blows your argument out of the water.
