Being forced to go up against pc players has just ruined the halo multiplayer experience on Xbox. Not only do you have to contend with pinpoint accuracy Spider-Man but cheating has just gotten out of control. I barely can be bothered to actually start up the game. Play one match and boom headshot from a sidekick from miles away. Boom headshot from the harpoon thing from you guessed it across the map. They other night I played in a fiesta match that had 7 new accounts in. I was they only one that had anytime playing Xbox games.
You want this to thrive as a go to multiplayer game then something needs to be done asap about cheaters and Crossplay. Cause while Crossplay is a good idea in principle there are to many people looking to take advantage of it to boost their egos of YouTube careers.
Have you not seen the official stats post on Reddit? Accuracy is much lower on mouse all across the board lol at top 100 player level and average player level.
I also doubt you are running into that many cheaters consistently.
It sounds like you might be not putting on any pressure or maybe not moving enough?
Sure an option to choose cross play or not would be nice, but my friends who play on PC all transitioned to controller for Infinite. Not for aim assist which is basically non existent in Infinite, but because of the play style of Halo. They feel much more comfortable on controller even though other games like COD and Apex, they use mouse and keyboard. I’m the only friend still playing on Xbox so I haven’t transitioned from controller either haha… I’m very glad cross play exists for that reason. I also have not experienced cheaters or hackers so I cannot attest to that.
Accuracy stats mean nothing though, while I do agree alot of this they aim better is exaggerated pc do have the ability to move, jump, slide and aim all at the same time more easily as you have basically an infinite amount of buttons to map to.
Biggest issues I always see crossplay wise is hackers, they ruin any game even Deadbydaylight which isnt the best game to begin with and the latency. For whatever reason latency sucks with crossplay, from gears, DBD, halo etc. They all have worse latency when crossplay is enabled
Accuracy stats don’t “mean nothing”. It doesn’t matter how effectively PC players can move, console players are STILL outaiming by a huge margin.
They also use AR over pistols meaning they hit far more than they miss. Stats are never a true showcase, but I’m okay with crossplay off… in every game lol
Close range yes but long range you lost your mind. I can always tell when somebody’s on PC and we’ll go to the recent player in the middle of a game and like oh that explains it their PC. Don’t even get me started on the cheaters. I play on Xbox One x and I’m onyx I can’t even play ranked anymore. Because of all the wall hackers. Also another point to point out Xbox is 30 to if we’re lucky 120. PC all the way from 60 to 240 FPS. Are we going to talk about that advantage are we going to keep talking about aim assist for are thumbs
The percentage of people hitting anywhere in the ballpark of 240FPS isn’t even close to what you think it is. Higher FPS isn’t even that important in a game like halo, its a significant thing in twitch shooters and tactical games where reaction time is far more important. In a slow TTK game like Halo, accuracy and tracking is everything.
No but use math, using the TTK with both a sidekick and AR the sidekick is faster, yet the AR takes considerably more shots to do so.
If you shoot 100 AR and miss 25 of them you have a 75% accuracy. Shoot 4 sidekick and miss 1 of them you still have 75%
Using this math and that example about this means missing 250 with AR is the same as missing 10 sidekick. Alot of factors go into stats, they mean very little. So yes.
Those so called stats you’re using are so damn vague you have no idea who shot what. As far as you know those console players could have shot far more AR unlike the pc who may use sidekick.
I showed you the math on how just weapon types can work against the stats. That’s one factor, there are alot of factors.
Honestly at this point I just think these PC players are crying they’re losing to a console. All the aim assist does is make the the most slightly bit harder to pull off a target. That’s it. It’s so small you can barely feel it and the higher sensitivity you have the less you feel it.
AA does not track enemies, it does not increase hit boxes, it does not curve bullet to enemies. Stats are nothing to balance from and never take all the other factors into consideration.
As USUAL a PC data miner has gone into the stats and just showing what backs their argument. If it’s such a huge advantage use one. Or play ranked with it off.
Both inputs have advantages and disadvantages based on playstyle and kit. This game has a longer TTK than other shooters where being the twitchiest doesn’t guarantee victory in a firefight. Between the two input types, the largest advantage I found was just how much faster it was to perform repulsor jumps through quick mouse movements. Personally, I found that MnK held no appreciable advantage at medium/long range where a controller has smooth tracking as opposed to how jerky/stepped mnk tracking was. It’s melee/shotty range where MnK has its edge.
If 343 doesn’t end up adding a crossplay option, try to do what I did as a PC controller player on Destiny; increase your sensitivity in increments of .5 at a time until you’re as comfortable/accurate as usual, and then repeat the process until you reach the limit you want. GL
Yes I did actually, you said compare 1000 ar to 1000 pistol.
And I said the stats you’re using doesnt show that so you cant use that as an argument. How do you know who’s fired X amount etc. When the leaks dont show it huh?
Once again I dont think people know what the aim assist actually does or are exaggerating everything to try make themselves feel better lol.
