Title speaks for itself, if you’re playing on controller, you’re not going to have a good time on this game. Forced crossplay is really not the way to go here, ive been checking my recent players and 95% of the ones displaying online are all on pc, so if you’re on xbox get comfy in bot bootcamp and pray 343 actually does something about the rampant pc sweatiness. Really disappointed in Halo Infinite, Halo should only ever have been played on controller in my opinion

The fact that, during the PC overview video they put out, they purposely avoided discussing if the game even had a crossplay toggle speaks volumes that it was something they were hoping would be ignored by the community
…despite the fact it was one of the most requested things to be mentioned on the old Waypoint forums.

I only play on controller and I’ve played a lot and I’ve had tons of fun. The only reason I would want to be separated from the PC gamers is because of the inevitable cheating.

Crossplay toggle should always be a day 1 launch option on every multiplayer game that’s released today, if I want to play on my own Platform I should have the option to toggle it
XD, I did not even know that there was crossplay, I find this point interesting, since I thought that the biggest problem was lag, but not playing and saying that having more players is a detail to touch, but hey, maybe put it as tmcc is the solution.

It’s honestly not a big issue besides possible hacks but as a reminder. I remember ring able to mod COD World at War with stick a usb drive in my Xbox. So… Tbh you can probably get them on console as well but not as conveniently easy. Also this game has anti cheat in it if your really concern just report someone. Also I’m a PC player, I only play on controller and have been a halo fan since first Xbox. It was my first FPS, all my PC friends play Halo with me on controller.
Stop crying… MCC sucked at getting multiplayer games on PC. Then they added crossplay and when custom games run around it’ll be even more enjoyable.
Every year people ditch consoles more and more for PC. All because you got out played or can’t beat someone in a 1 on 1 stop screaming hacks or lag. Maybe take the moment and say damn I need to start working on winning my 1 on 1. That’s what I do. I stopped yelling hacks and lag back in MW3, and surprisingly I played warzone and experienced a lot of hackers but I didn’t cry and yell it out unless I saw proof.
If video game was real life and you were taking your math test and got a 70 you would say hacks but in reality you didn’t study.
At the very least we need input based matchmaking options for every mode. But there are already cheaters on PC.
Odd, I literally haven’t thought twice about it. Obviously biased around ranked, which I like them forcing inputs. But yeah, I guess as a higher skilled player it has never bothered me.

I agree, I do not want to play with controller gamers.
Technically the post isn’t 100% correct because there is one place where crossplay is forcefully disabled which is Solo/Duo Ranked (you can only choose either Controller or M/K). I do however not understand how this applies only for Solo/Duo and not Open in Ranked…
I generally wouldn’t mind having a crossplay option to enable/disable though, although I don’t think it’s going to change too much. I myself am on PC as well, playing with a Controller. I tried M/K but can’t get around it. Guess I’m just used to Controller since Halo:CE. 
There’s more advantages for PC than just hacks. PC players tend to be sitting 3-inches from their screens, have multiple monitors, increased FOV, and can toggle advantages such as lowering the frame rate to remove visual noise and improve enemy spotting.
Even if the controller/MKB input is the same, PC has inherent advantages over console (which is partly why - as you pointed out - people are ditching consoles for PCs).
Those advantages make cross-play an inherently unbalanced experienced.
Go to ranked then duos and put in controller they already have this implemented
launch day has been a disaster. getting lasered by commandos and pistols from across the map by cheaters and mouse players. This is the most unfun halo experience ive ever had
Forced crossplay is not destroying the game. You have an option to prefer KBM players. I play on PC w/ KBM and love playing against controller and KBM players… The more people I get to play with, the better.
Halo Infinite crosplay allowed me to play Halo with friends I haven’t played with in many years. I’m all for crossplay now.
