Something I’ve been curious for quite sometime but what is it? The name isn’t quite as self-explanatory (at least to me) as it feels mostly how does a circuit multiply force particularly at such levels? Thanks!
The Force Multiplying Circuits are used in tandem with the Reactive Crystal Layer in order to increase the strength and reaction speed of the MJOLNIR user.
However I myself are confused about these circuits since as far as I am aware the Crustal Layer was the main component that caused this enhancement.
According to Halo material this crystal layer:
-Allowed the for the incredible amplification of strength and speed required by Dr. Halsey for the MJOLNIR project.
-The layer of polymerized lithium niobocene flawlessly enhances the speed and power of the wearer, a sharp contrast to previous UNSC exoskeletons which required powered motors to allow the soldiers mobility and reflexes.
-The layer is amorphous, yet fractally scales and amplifies force, doubling lifting capacity and decreasing reaction time by a factor of five.
Halopedia is confusing since both the pages of the Crystal layer and Circuits claim to provide the Mjolnir’s enhanced capabilities that stops normal humans from wearing it.
This probably means that both are used together either by additive or synergistive behaviour.
Its also possible that without the Circuits the Crystal Layer cannot be properly utilised or activated.
Unfortunately we don’t have that much information on the inner workings of Mjolnir armour.
As for Force Multipliers themselves, they are tools that amplify efforts to produce more output. For example a hammer is a force multiplier. Force Multipliers means that you’ll get more done with the same amount of effort. Hydraulic system are a perfect example of how force multiplication could function as it allows smaller forces to be multiplied into bigger ones.
Unfortunately I have not majored in Physics so I cannot provide a more in depth answer than this. I hope this answer helped in some way.

The Mjolnir armor can’t be worn by normal humans because of the drastic amplification effects of the armor. I do agree that the Force-Multiplying Circuits and Liquid Crystal Polymerized Lithium Nibocene Layer are somehow additive or synergistic. Although, according to Halo Nation, "the liquid crystal layer contains the polymerized form of lithium nibocene, a highly piezoelectric polymer. By deforming when an electric current is applied to it, the layer acts as a sheath of artificial muscle, adding to a SPARTAN’s already considerable strength.” So this may mean the Force-Multiplying Circuits is a network of circuits that just apply the electric current where it is needed or in a way that controls certain parts, like nerves “telling” a muscle to contract or release, or in the case of the crystal: contract and expand. This makes it hard for non-augmented humans to control because of both the power and speed of the armor’s movement. They normally are severely injured or killed by their own pain-induced spasms that happen as a chain reaction. For example, they try to move a limb expecting it to be easy, but the armor amplifies that movement so that the human’s limb is broken, dislocated, etc. causing them to flinch in reflex and that to be amplified… and you can imagine what happens from there on. Anyway, since Spartans are augmented in reflexes, speed, and strength they can react fast enough with enough power to counter and control the movements.

It was established that the x2 strength and the x5 reaction speed enhancement came from the Crystal Layer which was a revolutionary technology and the reason why Mjolnir performs so well.
Because of this, I personally think that the Force Multiplying and Reactive Circuits serve to integrate the Crystal layer with the rest of the suit and the user which is why the layer reacts to the thoughts of the Spartan wearers. The Circuits would connect the user with the suit. At least, that is what makes sense for the Reactive Circuits. Force Multiplying circuits on the other hand are confusing precisely because of what they are supposed to do: Force Multiplication.
So the question then becomes how much do the force multiplying circuits contribute to the overall strength enhancement of Mjolnir?
Is it 50% Crystal and 50% Circuits (which the books don’t seem to imply at all).
Is it 80% Crystal and 20% Circuits? Lower?
Or is it that the Crystal Layer cannot function without the Circuits.
Without more information, the Force circuits seem to me to be obsolete since the Crystal Layer is already claimed to be the reason behind the enhancement of Mjolnir.

Now that I think about it, it probably makes sense that the Force-Multiplying Circuits activate the Liquid Crystal Layer because the Liquid Crystal Layer is activated by an electric current. So going back to my analogy for my previous post, I believe that the Circuits are more like nerves to activate the Crystal muscles. I thought of that too, however this only makes sense regarding the Reactive Circuits.
Force Multiplying circuits should do what the name implied on their own. It is possible that Force and Reactive circuits are one and the same as both were only ever mentioned once in the novels (authors can get things wrong too), however the wiki seems to imply differently.
However coming back to the idea here is a theory:
The Reactive Circuits link the suit to the wearer’s Neural Implant, which is what allows the suit to be moved by mere thought.
The Force Multiplying Circuits are what transfers signals and activate the Crystal Layer in order to increase speed and strength.
Of course this all just speculation. We have no idea if this is even remotely true, as I for one have never built or designed a system such as Mjolnir XD.
A simpler way to look at things is: Brain sends signals to suit - Circuits transfer signals to and activate Crystal layer - Crystal Layer enhances wearer - The End

The force multiplying circuit is component of the Mjolnir Powered Assault armor in sync with the reactive crystal layer in the process of increasing the already incredibly abundant strength of the individual spartan.
