> There’s significantly more playlists in this game where you can use whatever loadout you want, but the default playlist for matchmaking shouldn’t be full of randomness and imbalance.

Or, perhaps divide the two in to their own sections of sub-playlists.
Infinity is the new thing, it is the new Halo multiplayer. Like it or not. And, the imbalance is an easy fix by simply balancing out the weapons/AAs/Etc. Perhaps even the removal of ordnance.
Do I like everything about Infinity? No. Certainly not, my biggest complaint is by far the ordnance system. Though, I honestly feel Loadouts need to stay in game as they promote tailoring your personal style to what you like as opposed to everyone BR or die.
It’s a nice change. It was executed rather poorly, but overall I see it as a breath of fresh air for the franchise and I look forward to the changes that will be made in Halo 5. I believe 343 may have learned from their mistakes this time around.
You can only keep a formula the exact same for so long before things stagnate. Gears of War is a prime example of this.
The face of the FPS genre, like it or not, is changing. And, those who linger in the past will be left behind. Do I like it? No. Is anything going to stop this change? More than likely not.
This was 343s first attempt at pushing Halo forward. They -Yoinked!- up, they learned from it. I’m sure there is a balance to be met somewhere along the line.
But, shunning the change as a whole is not the way you should go about it. You should, instead, be providing constructive feedback of said changes.
I acknowledge that Halo 4 is not perfect. But I also acknowledge that many of the changes, if done correctly, are just what Halo needs to prevent it from stagnating.
