What it was , for you, the saddest moment , not only games but also from comics , books etc
…when Chief had to deal with loosing Cortana and facing his humanity. Tough.
“For us, the storm has passed. The war is over. But let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark and did not return. For their decision required courage beyond measure…sacrifice, and unshakable conviction that their fight; our fight, was elsewhere. As we start to rebuild, this hillside will remain barren, a memorial to heroes fallen. They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten.”
“I remember how this war started. What your kind did to mine. I can’t forgive you. But… you have my thanks, for standing by him to the end.”
quite obvious lol
Johnson dying, Miranda dying and Echo 419 getting shot down. Jacob Keyes dying didn’t bother me as much, probably cos of all the times I mucked around killing him in Pillar of Autumn and all the times he gets killed in Truth and Reconcilation
Oh and the many things that are wrong with halo 4.
Johnson’s death.
My saddest moment? Probably losing Cortana in H4.
But seeing Black team dead in escalation also rattled me quite a bit. I loved that team…
Also reading about Sam’s death in TFoR. You can easily feel what Chief is thinking and going through. Losing a friend/team member because of a fairly minor suit breach would be a terrible thing to go through.
Johnson dying because he always seemed like this epic warrior that was invincible! He saw the beginning and end of the Human-Covenant war, survived the destruction of Installation 04, member of ORION.

This, and Kat’s death in Reach.
343 Guilty Spark. I loved him despite the fact he was going rampant and betrayed the Master Chief twice.
My saddest moment: The grunt that I couldn’t save on the Pillar of Autmn before it blew up and the grunt on halo in halo 3 that I also couldn’t save. We lost some good grunts in the past decades.
Cortana dying at the end of Halo 4. I loved that game.
“Send me out…with a bang…”
When the halo 2 PC servers went down and 343 doesn’t care to even comment on the issue.
Kat’s death in Halo Reach, it was so unexpected
When I found out there won’t be LAN support or split-screen for Halo 5. I’m not joking either. R.I.P. Halo night :’(
Seeing that I shouldn’t have tried so hard to survive in lone wolf. Also the New Alexandria level, it reminds me of ODST, and the nostalgia kicks in. You see the flaming city, and the sadness gets ignited.
1: Halo 3 ending, 2: Echo 419 death, 3 Cortana death 4: ODST intro
Halo 2 credits.

This^
It was like watching a part of John dying…
She has been with the Master Chief since the beginning, and they did a brilliant job of evoking all them feels.
I still cry erry time! :’(
Jorge’s death in Halo Reach.
