Reading the Fall of Reach you dreamt to lead a UNSC fleet in a planetary battle?
If yes, Sins of the Prophets is the game for you!
Sins of the Prophets is a mod for the game Sins of a Solar empire: entrenchment.
It completely changes Sins of a solar empire turning it into a video game set in the Halo Universe.
These are some images of the game, but for the gameplay I recommend watching the video:
The game simulates space battles, inspired by the halo books.
You can command many different frigates, cruisers, capital ships and ONI prowlers, cradle repair station, 2 types of longswords and sabre, build Anchor 9 station, research facilities and much more, use spy and repair drones, Shiva bombs, mines, Spartans, archer missiles, MAC, planet bombardment…
The current version permits only UNSC vs UNSC battles, but the covenant and forerunner factions are in creation
If you need other info please reply.
p.s: I know I’m writing of a game that is not halo, but I think it is useful to expand this fantastic universe. I’m not in the mod developers groups, just a fan.
the mod is free but the game isn’t.
Certainly there are torrents to download the game (sins of a solar empire: entrenchment or sins of a solar empire: trinity) free.
I simply bought sins: trinity for 20$ and downloaded the mod.
did you play or watch the video? the video is in an older version, maybe the voices are strange for that reason…
I find them well done, at least in my version of the mod…
> I thought this mod died out a while ago, is it actually back this time?
This mod is very-very alive!
A new version came out a week ago, and now they are near to release a version with playable covenant and forerunner factions. (there is a DEV-beta for the covenant i think, but not an official release)
Is this mod offically out? I thought it only recently got into beta testing.
Id love to play it. I mean, id really LOVE to play it, but I only have the original sins and sins:ret, and im far too fickle with my finances to spend money on an outdated version of the game just to play a mod.
Any idea if the developers plan on making it compatible with the first/last installments of the game?

I don’t think they will make it work with the original game, but soon the version for Sins of a Solar Empire: rebellion will be released.
