Regarding the recent news about Halo Infinite’s Armor Coating system, and with all the backlash that’s happened, I just want a topic where we talk about our favorite things we’ve seen in Infinite so far. This may be seen as not addressing the issue, but I’ve already seen enough of it and I just want to talk about the good things for now. For me, my first favorite thing I’ve seen so far would definitely be Chief’s armor. Back in Halo Legends, I saw the armor Chief had from The Package, and I had always wanted it. Now it’s in game! Second in Infinite would have to be the grappling hook. Half a ton of Titanium alloy zooming at Covenant out of nowhere.

My favorite thing is being able to paint my armor whatever color I want, without having to find an external means to get the colors I’d like <3

Seems like you’re missing the point here champ.
My favorite thing I’ve seen from Infinite so far is the dynamics between Chief and the introduced characters so far, especially Escharum. We’ve never seen anybody so pumped to fight Chief.
Really it’s just Chief’s redesign. It’s no Halo 2/3 Mk VI but it’s likely the closest well get from these developers. Otherwise the art design is a definite shift in the right direction but my disappointment with this game far outweighs my excitement as of now.
Easily the promise of reach style armor customization. I miss my A symmetrical armor I rocked in reach

You’ve somehow reminded me the importance of A symmetrical armour. It honestly is a great option for us to have.

My favorite thing is armor coatings.
I am actually still very excited for halo infinite despite the issues that seem to have some people very worried. Personally, I am extremely excited for the open world environment with random enemy encounters across the map, various wildlife and a day night and possibly even weather cycle. These details to me feels like the area of zeta halo could make halo infinite one of the most replay able and immersive halo games ever if done right. I also love the new vanished characters and the general style and tone of the enemies and narrative from what we’ve seen so far. Escherem is hype.
I’m very excited for the gameplay itself. In comparison to H5, the gameplay seems much slower, and offers more breathing room. The environment seems interesting, the enemy interactions seem extremely fun, and the renewed focus on sandbox utilization is so exciting! Despite some of the issues I have with the game so far, I’m still very excited for it’s release, and genuinely can’t wait for more footage!
I am very excited about the enriching experiences open worlds could bring to halo. Just the idea of an open world in the mix of wilderness and forerunner structures on the ring seems so wonder-inducing. I think the song “through the trees” from the halo infinite OST captures the vibe I want from this game. Furthermore, the PVE looks pretty fun, with great enemy behavior and visual design (but give those brutes some hair goddamnit), as well as (this might be controversial) the return of clamber, sprint and slide. Still not sure about that grappling hook. As far as graphics go, I think the art style is directed OK (based on what little we have seen). IMO graphics don’t need to be groundbreaking or “next gen” to be beautiful. They definitely need smoothing out as far as pop in goes. I am trying to maintain my hype for campaign by pretending campaign and MP are completely separate games - they kind of are. I have high hopes for the single player. Have a good day/night gamers!
I’m excited to see Halo return to a more mysterious feel. The mystery has been utterly removed from Halo over the past several years. Everything lately has to be explained or quantified, and I’m loving that the Halo community has become more speculative with regards to where the story of Infinite will be heading.
Hopefully 343 can deliver on all the hype, but for now it’s a comforting sight to see new wonder and mystery infect the community like we got in the first game.

It is obviously an old concept so i’m not sure if it will be present in the final game, but the announcement trailer from 2018 starts of with the view of the ancient writing on the cave wall. We could even see a mix between ancient human and forerunner stuff. The only problem is, as someone who has read Primordium in the forerunner saga, the ring doesn’t hold much mystery to me. I still wanna see some misty old forerunner -Yoink- that hasn’t been opened in a hundred millennia. I am actually excited as -Yoink- for this campaign.
I am still looking forward to see the upcoming Halo Infinite. I really can’t wait to see the Open World gameplay in the new Halo video game.
Just a few things that come to mind:
- I like the way Brutes behave, and how their armor is now destructible. - The music is great so far. - The return to a more classic art style is fantastic. - The return of equipment - I am very excited to see how the open world environment works.

That too! I loved Combat Evolved’s vast valleys and sprawling mountains, made things just seem so big and unknown. And now that we’re getting a day and night cycle too! I missed the night levels like from Truth and Reconciliation. Maybe even weather patterns.

He especially nailed it down for me in the open-world aspect.
My favorite is the physics. I like how the warthog reacts!
I really like that there’s no animation while pressing a button.
I like the graphics and the old art style it looks really nice when plasma hits the enemies.
I like that Chief isn’t talking too much, he seems to be Sierra 117 again and not Nathan Drake or J.D. Fenix.
I like no spartan abilities!!!
I like that it looks like the plasma pistol projectile isn’t flying too fast like hitscan, maybe a good sign for arena relating to sprint.
- The commando, been wanting a ranged automatic for a long time - Artstyle, I am 100% onboard with most of the design decisions we’ve seen so far including the colorful look - Equipment return, this probably the gameplay mechanic that I’ve requested the most for return and the equipment we’ve seen so far looks fun to use - Banished antagonists - More grenades

I rocked the ODST left shoulder with bracers forearm and sniper right shoulder. Figured left arm for defence right for mobility

Same thing here, only I used the UA/Multi-Threat on my left and Mk 5 on my right.
Pretty excited to see what armors will be out/unlocked. Very interested for the campaign above all. The fact that they said it is larger than both previous titles combined and it’s open world is very exciting. Campaign has ALWAYS been why I stay with this franchise.
