Please stop. For those who want classic Halo just stop. Move on. If you want to play classic Halo go play it. Halo 3 is still up and running, Halo CE for PC is still running, and Halo 2 for Windows Vista is still running (also, their are now mods you can put on your Xbox so you can play online) so stop asking for classic Halo. It’s over. The next game is comming out and you think you should be able to play the games before that instead. It’s a new game, not an old game.
We don’t want Classic Halo. We want Halo to play like HALO. If you make a sequel so different that it doesn’t play anything like the original, you might as well change the title. Get over yourself.

halo reach was a complete fail…it was the gear of war 2 of the halo series.
what about if you want new halo play halo reach its still running and in the mean time I will play classic halo on halo 4…oh wait.
Like a guy above me said, I want to play HALO. Not some Halo-CoD hybrid monstrosity.
I think people mean same style.
Not exact same.
For example being able to look through a wall is NOT halo.
Whereas jumping over the wall and cutting them up with an energy sword IS halo.
But i look forward to see what they do either way. 
So all us fans who have been enjoying classic halo since CE, are now been given the middle finger, so they can carry on catering to the reach tards who like dressing up there spartan in pointless armour upgrades and noobing about with AA’s

Reach shouldn’t of even had ‘halo’ in the title, it should of just been called ‘Reach’
and none of the ideas in that game should of made there way into the real ‘halo’ games

If Halo 4 contains no gameplay that is like what you call ‘Classic Halo’ than what makes it a Halo game in the first place?
I used to never come on bungie forums and waypoint forums because I awlays thought it was just full of people who thought the books and campaign and what dresses and makeup their spartans could wear were most important.
But recently with the failure of Reach and the ridiculous halo 4 announcements alot more smarter people have begun posting on what really matters and it appears that the halo community is waking up before john is.

1st, I usually dont bring up stats or recent games but I made an exception here. I went through about 20 pages of your recent games and saw at least 90% was zombies… Dont come on here and tell me not to ask for classic Halo when you are playing predominantly something that has nothing to do with arena shooters or halo gameplay. GAH!
2nd, Saying the other games are still there and online is one of the stupidest arguments I hear brought up on these boards. The communities are dead. It takes forever to find games and when you do most are so mismatched skill wise that its unplayable.

Naive hope that Frankie will read these posts and change the direction of Halo 4. 1 in a trillion chance, but whatever. I like forums and I like debating and in all honesty there is nothing I know more about than Halo gameplay.
it sounds like we will have to unlock weapons, that sounds wrong, never mind AA’s and the new power weapon system the apparent removal of evade in favour of sprint all this could work.
but unlocking weapons and no return of rank matches I have only seen this work once and not very well, at least with major hiccups (crysis 2) I detest cods’ style of xp boosting play.
HOLY -Yoink- people are so stubborn, they never consider something different for a change, you all think it is the end of the world if it doesnt play like the original Halo, you know what I would be deeply appreciative if you would refrain from speaking. and quit whinnig because you know what I bet you no I guarantee you they WILL have a classic game mode in Infinity for the old school players and it will feel like the older Halos, quit hating on 343 they a trying there hardest to please the old Halo players and the new ones I think they deserve some praise for at least making a new Halo game, would you prefer a new Halo with an epic campaign and a bad multiplayer or a Halo with a boring campaign and a good multiplayer I’d know what I would pick, and that whats Halos is about ever since it became more multiplyer orientated thats what people wanna do now, and im ashamed of you guys im a huge Halo fan played it since CE, and its like you have forgotten that it isnt just about multiplayer, its about a mysterious campaign that is amazing and memoriable and that is what 343 is heading for and there that into doing stories they even made it for multiplayer and you cant even judge something you havent tried yourself.

Fair enough and Frankie sees these threads and post i doubt he would mess up a Microsoft baby(Halo series) after Reach turned alot of fans off they are trying to return Halo to it’s former glory there are some stuff from Reach but these things will most likely end up being in a non-ranked setting I’m sure Ranked will be the “Classic” Halo feel.
