For those who say Halo 4 isn't Halo...

Looks at game case Says Halo on the case. Check.

Opens case and takes out the disk Circular, pretty picture on the front, shiny on the back, hole in the middle. Check. Says Halo on it. Check.

Inserts game into his Xbox and begins to play it. I can’t aim down sights unless the weapon has a scope. Check. Grenades are thrown instantly and are easily accessible via the left trigger. Check. Deep epic sci-fi story with beautiful, well-lit scenery. Check. Customizable multiplayer appearance. Check. Drivable vehicles that switch the camera to third-person when I enter them. Check. A medium-size weapon sandbox. Check.

It’s definitely Halo. I don’t see your problem.

Well part of the problem is you obviously don’t know what makes Halo Halo. I’m sure there are many other threads where you could find it all because I don’t feel like wasting my time explaining it since you’re not going to understand anyways.

But so you know, just because something or someone claims to be something, doesn’t necessarily make it true. That’s a life lesson right there

Refer to this:

Read before you post.

Yeah the majority of people on here just seem to complain about it. Feels pretty much like halo to me, but and evolved version. If they stick completely with the classic feel the series will die off, simple as that. Games have to adapt or they become irrelevant.

Campaign is great although its a little repetitive, forge is better, theater is the same (needs spartan ops/campaign though), custom games are pretty much as customisable as always and matchmaking is good. Minus a few balancing issues and one or two bugs, but they didn’t have a beta so thats expected.

No game that comes out is instantly perfect, people just take the opportunity to bash on 343 so quick because its halo, a massive franchise and they took over from the beloved bungie. But from their first full triple A title release, id say they are heading in the right direction, especially for a new studio.

My grandpa is almost 70 he’s been playing Halo since the first day CE came out and he hates this game because he said it’s the same game over and over again. I ran through his last 5 campaign missions yesterday with him watching just so he could see the ending.

It’s definitely still Halo.

Sorry, but no. Halo 4’s story was pretty lame and predictable. When Cortana yelled “I will not allow you to leave this planet”, it was cringeworthy at best. This Halo feels the least like Halo.

Even Grandpa’s know games need to adapt

Oh really?

So you predicted that the Prometheans were ancient humans? Or that the artifact was somehow in New Pheonix? Or that Jul 'Mdama was the one talking to Halsey? I call BS.

My friend’s Grandpa who plays Call of Duty has stated that he likes that game because the franchise builds upon the strengths of the previous installment and provides an accessible environment online for every player category. He said he prefers that game because Call of Duty does not have to adapt.

Call of Duty is definitely still Call of Duty. Can’t say the same for other First Person Shooters that attempt copy it.

will the halo 4 disk smell like the halo reach disk when I light it on fire?

only important question that needs to be answered

343 industries did an overall better job than Bungie ever could. However, I would have gardening tool that they would have worked on another IP instead, because instead of fixing what was broken from Halo, they brought back the old flaws.

By making a brand new game and brand new formula, they could have made a new classic IP.

But that’s just my opinion.

I knew what Prometheans were before Halo 4, I did not know that some were ancient humans but it really wasn’t that surprising considering the massive number of Prometheans. Halo 4 was pretty bland, dude.

I really don’t understand what you’re saying. What makes you say 343 did a better job than Bungie? By old flaws do you mean Reach?

Halo= and arena shooter… Halo 4 is not…

Is Resident Evil 5/6 really Resident Evil? Is Splinter Cell Conviction really Splinter Cell? Does the new Tomb Raider look anything like Tomb Raider? The answer to all these questions is no. If you think that Halo 4 is Halo then you are blind.

Game tries too hard, they tried to make look good with all the trailers and they had the chance to put Halo back on top and it failed. Did they really think that killcams, loadouts, bringing back AAs and commendations would make the game better? Huge fail, nobody likes AAs or commendations.

  • It’s made out of the same materials. Bioshock, Mass Effect 2, and Halo CE, 2, and 3 will all smell exactly the same as well when set on fire.
  • The only disks that deserve to be burned that I can think of right now would be every Nicki Minaj and Wiz Khalifa album ever.
  • Halo: Reach was just as good, if not better than than Halo 2 and 3.

Visible 1-50 like Halo 2 and 3 is the only that will make players come back to Halo and stay playing it.

Too obvious.
1/10 apply yourself.

> Did they really think that killcams, loadouts, bringing back AAs and commendations would make the game better?

I’d assume so since they did.
