For those who know about Installing Maps

Here’s my predicament:

  1. I’m in college, and I will be playing the game on my friend’s xbox. I do not want to install the maps (i.e. the second option in the Weekly Update) because then I can’t play them at my house, correct?

  2. My parents are separated, and I’ve got an xbox at each house. Is there a way to install the maps on both, or should I not install them at all?

  3. What are the benefits and drawbacks of installing the maps (i.e. using the code, just like buying a DLC map pack)? I understand that the installation allows you to play them with the Reach disc in the tray, allowing you to play any maps at any time, when not installing them require you to have the CEA disc in the tray, no?

  4. If I install them on any xbox, does that mean that I can’t play them on the CEA disc anymore?

I hope my questions make sense and someone can politely answer me :slight_smile:

i think that if you are using the same gamertag in both locations you should be able to download the maps on both systems.

Alright.

Does anyone know how to transfer already-bought map packs to a different xbox? Is that possible?

This should get you started. You may have to do a license transfer too but there are instructions here on that as well.
