For Those Who Hate Halo 4...

Read this article from Game Informer. Halo 4 made it into the top 10 games of 2012!

HALO 4: BEST XBOX 360 EXCLUSIVE, COMPETITIVE MULTIPLAYER, SHOOTER

Silencing the naysayers who believed no one besides Bungie could make a great Halo game, 343 Industries knocked its debut out of the park. The stunning visuals and sound are the best seen and heard on consoles this year. Master Chief and Cortana’s story on planet Requiem is the most compelling and clear of the series. Multiplayer’s new modes, weapons, and maps, points-based scoring and rewarding progression system put it at the top of the competitive heap this year. The new weekly episodic series Spartan Ops will keep the co-op and story rolling onward nearly through the end of 2013.

Game Informer rated Halo 4 at a 9.25 compared to Black Ops II which only received an 8.5. I don’t even recall that ANY of the previous Halo’s have received honors THIS high. I know for a fact that it takes A LOT of impression to make Game Informer rate a game like this. Looks like Halo 4 takes the cake as the best Halo out of the series. If none of you believe me, go read the article yourself. Game Informer doesn’t lie and neither do 343 industries.

> Let’s face it. No matter what anybody says, Halo 4 is the best Halo yet.

Bungie started halo great then finished weak. 343i has given to many crutches to the rise of people who come from games where the skill gap is much lower. Also fanboys will vote for it no matter what. TF fall of cybertron was much better than this game.

Yeah, Halo 4 really impressed me

If that’s true then the gaming industry is falling apart.

The fact that they ruined the weapons, loadouts, made it so people can spam heavy weapons like noobs or having dmr, etc… with broken hit box’s where people can exploit them being killing people while being terrible at aiming, I have seen this countless times on killcams (Which is also pointless since most people skip them) which is why halo 4 is the worst in the series.

This is why I refuse to play online on halo 4. Unlike past halo games this is the first halo game where I hated playing online, heck if the dlc maps look terrible. I’d rather go back to reach but since I have been playing since day 1, the fact that I have every achievement except the dlc coming out later, the only thing that’s keeping me playing halo 4 is spartan ops episodes (not the level designs), the ranking system which is a living joke but all it involves is a mindless grind which is what also ruined reach in some ways but at least reach felt more like a halo game even if it had it’s problems. Halo is not about improving anymore, it’s about mindless grinding which is why spartan ops is now full of people going afk 24/7

Here’s the thing with the internet. Your article only preaches to the choir. Those that hate this game will still hate this game and most likely think you’re an cheerleader hopping around with pom poms while trying to get us to do the wave in the stands.

In the end though they’ll still hate the game.

When the critics no longer share the public’s opinion, they should be removed from their job.

I think the real message to people who don’t like halo 4 (haters as they are injustfully named) is that its their opinion, and that your not helping by just saying its the worst game ever, give criticism, but also give a way to fix the issues that dosen’t destroy 343 business aims (attracting a bigger audience)

Same goes for people who support halo 4, come to terms that just because someone dosen’t like the game they’re not allowed to say anything about it or a instantly a “hater”, and to add, accept that the game obviously has flaws instead of turning a blind eye. If the game was perfect people wouldn’t complain right?

Thats my message anyways, and all of OP’s message is just opinion anyways.

PS: gameinformer was most likely bribed by microsoft btw, just like ign was.

343i has changed halo for the better and they have started strong. Also Reach was fun, and didn’t deserve most of the hate it got here.

I am pretty sure halo is still highly skill based, just with a few more factors to consider and adapt to.

Halo 4 is a legitimately fun game, don’t hate on gameinformer for that.

In all sincerity this game is pretty great, in regards to the foundation of it. The visuals yes, the feel etc are all a success. With change people are always going to be upset, for example I dont mind the sprint, ordinance drops, loadouts, who cares really, its different, its unique, doesnt really take away from the game as whole per say.

All that being said, the game fails pretty miserably in terms of gametypes and most importantly a skilled ranking system. Again the foundation of the game is top notch but they need to let us enjoy the game in the way a lot of players want to, which is through compelling competition and actual desire to win a game. This game has all the pieces to be something special but hasnt reached its potential, yet…

Enough said.

Just because someone says something is good doesn’t mean it is.

If that was the case, then Call of Duty is the best game ever.

So Black Ops 2’s arbitrated pinky-T point score, was lower than Halo 4’s arbitrated pinky-T point score. It must not be broken.

I’m sorry but lets be real here. Those aren’t in any way objective and I can say whatever I want about the Halo games. The game has serious issues; namely the Balance of BTB, Camo, and the Boltshot. Not to mention the lack of fundamental features like File Share, ability to turn flag juggling on, classic objective settings, and ability to turn sprint off on release.

and much, much more.

Nobody really cares for the opinions of magazines much these days.

I never said halo 4 was not fun and I never called gameinformer out. The adapt argument is invalid as there is no point for a loadout system if one playstyle leads to everybodys success.

Countering one opinion with another. Kill cams don’t show what actually happened because of latency, it is not an actual hit box issue.

Lastly, after checking your service record…SR97 who doesn’t play the game? Really? I’m a 68…and think I’ve played A LOT. Your KD is such that…if i had that I probably wouldn’t have much fun either…

What you said is no more valid than the OP’s post. less valid if you ask me.

Listen Im all for beilieving in 343 heck I believe they surpased Bungie in some aspects of the campaign, I really am but this statement right hereis the biggest example of “Blind Faith”

TO argue that Halo4 is the best Halo when each aspect of its has been surpased by previuos instalments is a mistake and I would urge you to look at Halo 4 more objectively.

Secondly, you do realisethat game reviews are usually based on the opinion of individuals right? This isnt factoring in special content exposure, editorial staff looking through the review and removing anything that might damage their credibility to their inves…readers.

Whats more embarrasing is the fact that when a review comes out pointing the game’s flaws ,people immideately jump on it calling them COD fans when infact 343 is evolving Halo with mechanics popularised in modern warfare games such as COD.And lo and behold when a good review comes along its suddenly “fact”.

People objectivity is what we need , disregard for the community isnt.

I’m pretty sure they don’t care what most fans want or the population in the series wouldn’t have plummeted (Just for the record I’m not a fanboy of cod, if you check my gaming history you would know I play halo more than anything else). All they care about is adding random features that certain types of fan might be interested but ruins the physic’s, the gameplay that got people into the series even if it’s annoy’s a lot of people.

A lot of people complained about abilities in reach but instead of removing them like most asked instead they added them in halo 4, made them even worse, even adding loadouts which ruined the game-flow. It was already bad enough that they had terrible weapon placement but it got a bit stupid when just about everyone spawned with a OP weapon.

The fact is this is the first game where I actually decided to ignore most of the halo weapons, stick to using only a pistol, assault rifle, rarely anything else like maybe a sniper rifle to take out people, not being a noob by sniping out banshee’s soon as they spawn because there made out of plastic which is another flaw they shoved in from reach that they never bothered fix.

> Nobody really cares for the opinions of magazines much these days.

No one in general should care about reviewers on the whole. There’s so much bias and bribery going around in gaming publications that you will rarely if ever get a solid, non biased/bribed review.

I think people take for granted just how difficult being unbiased can be. You have to completely remove personal feelings from the equation and look at what you’re reviewing in a completely neutral standpoint in all instances. All those ‘unbiased’ game reviews on youtube that take up a whole of 8 minutes are complete and utter garbage, and no one should take them seriously at all.

You want legitimate, unbiased opinions in this day and age? Well you might need to sit down for a good 30 minutes or more just for a decent review.

On topic: I love Halo 4, but I’m not blind to its myriad of flaws. I can see what’s wrong with it and how it could be improved, but it’s not going to stop me from enjoying it at its absolute core.

> You do know 343i said that the reach tu settings would stay in a single playlist and not be moved to the other playlist right?

Lol @ OP. IGN and all those major game reviewers will always give major titles, no matter how unfinished or half–Yoinked!- they are at release, a good score. Sadly, it’s all a part of how the game industry works nowadays. You are behind the curve.
