Wow just wow. It’s bad enough that the 152 rewards are broken but to make twitch rewards basically nearly exactly the same is offensive. I don’t know how to say it any other way. It’s bad enough they mislead fans about the progression system but now feels like there trying to devalue the progress I made. This is frustrating and I’m getting used to the lack of respect from 343i.
Seriously who thought this was a good idea? I put an insane amount of time into 152 and now it feels like there invaliding my time.
Another lesson learned;
Whoever is in charge of this decision at 343 is a lying, slimy scumbag.
Ill never trust or respect 343 again. Uninstalled infinite.
I haven’t played Infinite in about 1-2 months because of what 343i are doing and I’m debating doing the same. I find whoever made this decision does not respect the fanbase at all. Had enough of being mislead and lied to.
Know what you mean. Unfollowed social pages because been annoyed with 343i and I check often on Halo Waypoint to see if things have got better and yeh the first thing I see is threads like this showing that 343i haven’t learnt anything and sadly is getting worse and it’s depressing/frustrating. I really wish Phil Spencer would get involved already because I’ve had enough.
Also plenty of complaints on twitter about things they have done in the game that has annoyed a lot of the community.
Its time for another company to take over halo.
Can you imagine the people at Activision saying these words-
“Were going to check the viability of the u.i. to support team slayer”
Congrats 343, ta turned me from a fan to someone considering making a troll account with geofiltering and cronus.
Just to mess up your crappy incomplete game.
There, i feel better.
When they said only one way to obtain each item, they didn’t say they wouldn’t make a super easy to obtain a slightly modified version Come on 343, really? What next, you gonna slightly modify the Deadly Poison weapon coating from the $180 keyboard and give it away to gamepass subscribers? Oh wait, you already did. Hmm, you gonna modify the Funko Pop coating to sell in the game store? Oh wait, you already are Yep, one way to unlock something. Technically you weren’t lying 343, but you also weren’t being honest.
At the moment I’m not sure who would be the best company to replace 343i. I think the problem mainly is the poor leadership. 343i need new management and a new focus on putting the player 1st. I remember when old Bungie used to say this all the time and they actually seemed to care while with 343i it seems the complete opposite. I’m tired of being mislead and I’m tired of things like equality being ignored.
I can’t believe this I’m saying this but after 20 years of Halo I don’t trust the company that make the current Halo and I’m tired of feeling ignored/mocked/lied to because the company doesn’t seem to care. They did with the REQ system video that mocked/belittled fans and they ignored the spawn camping complaints and they mislead fans about the Halo infinite progression system. I don’t know what to say when a company doesn’t respect their fanbase. I have been very respectful to the company and defended them in the past but it’s really hard to defend a company that doesn’t even seem to care about it’s fanbase.
I think one of the big things is they need a smaller team, and less contract workers who leave after just getting used to the system. You need just enough passionate people and you can make a great game. Too many people doesn’t help. And contract workers aren’t gonna care. That’s more a Microsoft not wanting to pay benefits thing if I’ve heard correctly, but I don’t really care what’s causing it. You can’t expect a game to turn out well without passionate people making it and working on it, to turn it into the best game they can.
Not sure about smaller teams since means more crutch but what they do need is new management and a new focus on player 1st. A small/big team can do great/poor based on whoever is managing the team.
By the way, it’s not clear in my opening post (sarcasm rarely works online) but I actually think it’s not very fair to the SR152 crowd at all - the twitch drops should not look like watchdog.
The rewards should have stayed exclusive, and although it’s not exactly the same, it’s so close that it devalues the SR152 rewards in my opinion.
Well I said smaller. I know it can’t be too small. But just throwing people, especially contract workers, at a game won’t make it better. But if you have a team of passionate people they can make amazing work.
I’m 152 on Halo 5 and yeh I can say for certain that yeh it does devalue my time and reminds me why I haven’t touched Infinite in about 1-2 months. The fact that this was dropped and the 152 reward is still broken just reminds me that 343i were being ridiculous.
It’s like I’ve been dedicated to getting max rank on all the Halo games and I was proud that I got to 152 and now 343i have made my unlock feel less meaningful and generic and it’s frustrating.
So much for promoting player individualism.
I gotta go to work, but consider this-
Imagine what would happen if an announcement was made that the senior leadership at 343 was being transferred to help work on Doom.
Their entire community would poop their pants.
I gave 343 the benefit of the doubt. This game launch was horrible, they have so much work to do.
I understand, im getting destroyed at work.
Figured in 6 months to a year theyd fix it.
Watchdog isn’t that important to me anyway.
But this was deliberately done.
Theres no way they couldve missed all the posts, etc.
They are deliberately silent.
So another lesson learned-
If an actual 343 rep wont comment on the future of plans with this game, expect the worst.
Know what you mean. It’s like they were bragging about launch numbers but they refuse to show current player numbers but thankfully TA actually keeps track of xbox live accounts and less people are playing it overall and 343i are still pretending everything is fine despite the 272k to 6-7k drop on Steam like they are pretending that it didn’t happen because they haven’t mentioned a single word about it and still they haven’t apologised about the progression system.
Basically Xbox/Steam numbers are in decline and I feel like 343i have no clue what there doing. I have zero faith in Halo Infinite lasting 10 years like they originally claimed was the plan.
