Was there this much concern over, well, EVERYTHING at this point in Halo 3 lifespan?
There are a lot of concerns from many folks over Halo 4. some I completely agree with (matchmaking issue for me), and some I don’t (running in halo!??!?!?!)

I guess you missed the horrible lag, and server crashes.
As the above poster said it was basically just BR spread and Melee problem’s.
Both of which were improved with a TU, the BR spread was made tighter and in my opinion much better.
Honestly Halo 4 is a mess personally, also i dont find it fun at all, i just hope the ranking update in january add’s in a proper classic formula with ranked playlist’s, infinity is too social for my liking.

I know I did. I rarely ever had lag in Halo 3. The only time I did was when I was playing with some European friends.
Halo 4 has a more lone wolf basis that anyone who is anyone can get good weapon drops and do well it is not the classic halo feel which was more team based. It is not halo.

Damn you brought a tear to my eye… H3 was actually my first Halo game and I got it at launch and that game was so fun to play for such a long while. I was a nub so I was god awful, but that was the funnest I ever had. Makes me miss that feeling, I for sure did not have it again with Halo 4. I don’t care about SR numbers, so I still played after I hit SR-70… But this game is not as fun as H3 was in launch day. Its crazy to think I am already bored of this game.
H4 is WAY more messed up than H3 ever was. And it is not entirely game mechanics were its broken at, it mostly is at the playlist, ranked and small amount of maps. Thats whats broken in this game.

Thats what instant respawn also causes. Back in the old Halos when you die you would watch your teammates cams and call out and help them out, or you would be able to call out the person that just killed you. Instant respawn completely removed that aspect of the game. They made it like CoD and we all know CoD is a complete lonewolf game.
To the OP: YES there was. And frankly, Halo 2 launch was even worse.
The young people on here who weren’t on Live when Halo 2 launched have NO idea just how many complaints were thrown at it from the people coming from Halo CE. It was just as ridiculous then as it is now. All these clowns whining about stuff on this forum just gives me a massive facepalm.
Yes. Everyone complains about everything while a game is out and then puts on their rose tinted glasses for it the second the next one comes out. The fact that people keep saying everything isn’t as good as Halo 2 is a perfect example of this. Halo 2 had more problems than any Halo to date. (including 4) It was fun and I have some good memories of it, but it was a mess. Not even touching the many, many campaign problems, there were lag issues, rampant modders, glitches that ruined the game including the widely exploited button glitches, standbyers and horrible balance issues that were never fixed. When Halo 3 came out Halo 2 started being thought of as the golden age of Halo and everyone complained about melee, br spread and the simulated ballistics of the weapons which were affected horribly by lag. Then Reach came out and everyone thought of Halo 3 as the golden age of Halo and complained about bloom, armor lock, jetpack, grenades, ect. Now Halo 4 has been out less than a month and everyone is complaining about the DMR, lag, JiP and there are people saying “screw this, I’m going back to Reach”. Although that’s not to say some of these aren’t valid complaints, many definitely are, I’m just saying that this much complaining is pretty normal.

I agree accept for one thing. Halo 2’s glitches were fun.
