So I keep hearing talk about how Halo 4 and the DMR specifically have huge aim assist. My question is how exactly does one imperically test / confirm this?
I test a lot of mechanics and record the results for my clan, but honestly I have no clue how I would even begin to test this out, so if anybody knows I would appreciate it.
You are basically playing with two forms of aim assist. One is applied to the movement of an opponent past your reticule, while the other is applied to the movement of your reticule past your opponent.
The former can be tested by having an opponent run past your reticule, and then measuring how much you turned. The latter can be tested by strafing past a stationary opponent and, again, measuring the rotation of your character.
As a matter of fact, here is a bit more detailed description for you on how to do it: Watch the best in esports live - MLG
