How is it that my team, Ranked between diamond 2-6 get paired up with Onyx ? Not to mention we have been brutally beaten every Single game because of smurf accounts. Seriously takes the fun out of the game. Everybody is doing it now? Every single game ive played involved smurf accounts. Dnt believe me? Look at my game history. You guys are -Yoinks!-. To -Yoink- enough to play in your own ranks. This is something that seriously needs to be prevented. To be honest i dnt know how it can. But Microsoft or 343 better pull something out of their -Yoink- to fix this issue. AND YES I AM RANTING. YES I AM FURIOUS.

Diamond 5 and 6 in your playlists with less than 50 played in all of them. It seems to me you are doing pretty well and it makes sense that you will sometimes be in a match with Onyx players since you are on the higher end of diamond. I’m sometimes in a match with a diamond player and I’m mid to high gold rank, though it only happens like 1 out of 20 matches. I think you aren’t running into smurf accounts but actual pros who play in their proper rank. Some of them might be Diamond 6 since there are only 2000 spots for anything above that in the world.

343i and microsoft can only do so much. They might try looking for a fix amongst the community.

I don’t understand what, how, why, when and where people came up with smurf accounts. It makes no sense but anyway…
Guys its just like TMCC. I’m stuck on 13 and verse 40s and above. Sucks but Halo is so dead these days its going to match you against anyone regardless.
Anyone remember how the skill system worked back then? Searches for the closest skill and then expands the search the longer it takes to find players if nobody around your rank is playing…

how about dont make accounts free if there is already one gold account on an xbox? that might thin out the smurf accounts

OP - I looked through your last 10 games and got bored. No smurf accounts whatsoever. I don’t think that you know what a smurf account is tbh. Getting ranked up against Onyx when you’re a Diamond 6 is not unreasonable at all. And an Onyx account is 100% definitely not a smurf account.

Diamond and Onyx are two skill tiers right next to each other, it’s not unreasonable for you to be put against them. Not just that, if they’re Onyx then the chances are they aren’t smurfing, but are on their main or simply using an alternate account.
Dude, a smurf is a high level player who makes a second account and intentionally loses to have it rank very low. Someone in onyx is probably not a smurf.

The benefits of allowing 6 gamertags on one “home” Xbox is honestly one of the best things that Microsoft has done with Xbox. Why should they change that policy because there is one game that allows people to take advantage of it?
Halo 5 is just an extremely competitive game… players looking for a casual shooter experience flock to games like CoD, DOOM, and Battlefield because they are just more enjoyable for the casual gamer. If Halo’s active population were double than what it is today, I’m sure the smurf accounts wouldn’t be a problem at all.
