This has been out for a while and it’s still poor. 1-50 ranks on Waypoint only? So how do you know how good a player is? Just the same battlefield with SR-130’s running around with no clue who’s a pro and who’s a kid who AFK’s Spartan OPs.

Why does it matter as soon as you get into a firefight with someone you would soon find out if they are any good or not, don’t need a visible number to know that as long as it starts matching you with equally skilled players that’s all that should really matter.

I think what you meant to say is how do I know who to belittle because of the rank they have over xbox live if I cant see a visible rank.

… It is worse than the rank systems that existed 8 years ago. The rank systems that built Halo. The rank systems the generated population growth and kept games alive. The population grew to much and it is being dissolved by the minority groups. “I come from Call of Duty, can I have this”. “I come from Assassin Creed, can I have this”. “I come from some other dunking place and I am here to tear down what brought me hear in the first place”

Why do people who don’t want ranks always use this as an argument? Those people that belittle you because of your rank are the same people who belittle you in the post game lobby when you don’t do well. They exist, ranking system or no ranking system.
If you’re so insecure that you can’t handle a bit of trash talking in a rated M game, I suggest you go play Minecraft or something else that involves little-to-no human interaction. Also, in my 10,000+ games in Halo 3 and 10,000+ games in Halo 2, no one ever belittled me because of my rank.
