I’ve noticed an increase in people that are confused over why their friends have their ranks and armour appearances back, but you yourself are still appearing as a recruit with default armour?
Let me explain:
Most people appear to have gotten their ranks back and their accounts seem to function as intended. However, you may have noticed that you cannot retrieve data via the service record to see their statistics or your own for that matter. This would also affect the updating of recent changes. Now you may ask yourself 'But my friends are showing up with armour and they are not recruits?' and my guess is that their data hasn't changed much from the data on the server, which would enable them to retain their original rank and appearance.
So my advice is sit tight and just play online as normal. Once the service record is available then it should either:
A) Reset you back to your previous statistics before the server went down.
B) Update the service record with the most recent changes made to your profile.

**The issue with retrieving and updating data with the server is resolved. Your Halo: Reach data should return to normal guys.**
