For the XP Bawlers

Newsflash!!!
This just in!!!
It’s been discovered that Halo 4 has a daily XP level cap that seems to be preventing players, who assume that level has something to do with people respecting them or even listening to them, from power leveling to a maximum status/rank number in a non-stop spree of gaming.

Apparently their disatisfaction stems from their mistaken belief that they deserve the right to grind experience non-stop instead of earn it a regularly paced rate like the players that arent complaining about the experience cap.

Rumor has it these disatified players, whom most everyone is sick of seeing spam out various online forum blogs with their wails and cries and foot stamping, are also beginning to circulate petitions demanding that 343 install a secret button in the game that will instantly allow them to achieve maximum level for their spartans instead of just playing the game like most of the adults are doing.

When it has been mentioned to various people making this complaint that if they don’ty approve of the way the game is set up then the solution provided already can be enacted and they can turn it off and play something else, generally the suggestion is met with more scoffing, wailing, crying, and foot stamping demands that the nature of the game be changed because they say so.

Stay tuned for further details as they become available.

Complaining about complainers.

Way to bash people who just want to be able to play their game their way.
I just got capped and it turned me off from wanting to play multiplayer. I find it frustrating that i have to wait until monday to play since today has been the one day i am able to play with out any hindrance. I would enjoy playing without a cap because i enjoy getting XP but if i am limited i see no reason to play for the rest of the day.

It’s a GAME!
You play it because you have fun playing the GAME and becuase you enjoy it!
The leveling is nice yes, but for the love of all things small and furry I am sick to death of trying to dig information out these forums right now because 7 out of every posts in the last 24 hours have been from someone bawling and foot stamping because they have to deal with an XP cap.

If you don’t want to deal with the XP cap, then PLAY SOMETHING ELSE!
If not being able to make levels as fast as you want to make them takes the fun out of it then PLAY SOMETHING ELSE!
If you’ve maxed your experience cap till Monday then by all means feel free to switch over and PLAY SOMETHING ELSE!

Is anyone starting to see a common theme in the solutions for people that are raising all this cane about something that amounts to nothing and that most people arent that worried about since its just the way that the GAME goes, and not a concern of monumental proportions?

Someone’s mad.

Fix the cap is all we’re asking for, if you wanna complain about us wanting to play more then please be my guest.

You’re ignoring certain factors TC.

Yeah in Reach there was litterally no point in levelling up other than just showing off once you got the few rank based achievements

In H4 levelling gives you SP, allowing you to unlock things. Maybe I want to unlock EVERYTHING so I can actually use the things which are already on my disk. Is that so wrong?

Maybe I want to level up so I can use the specializations which already come on my disk.

Is it that bad that people who go out of their way to obtain double XP, feel a bit cheated by the fact that there is a cap, effectively making the promotion worthless to some people?

I don’t care about my rank to “Show off”. My friends already know my ability, and for the rest they can look at my KD. I care about my Spartan Rank so I can actually use the dang things which are on the disk I paid money for.

Sorry if that is so terrible for you

People play games for different reasons. You’re getting up in arms about it almost as much as they are about the cap right now.

So xp means nothing to you, good job. It means something to somebody else though.

So true. Having cool armor, etc is nice. But it doesn’t make the game better. You can get nearly every unlock in a day without hitting the cap so everything you’re being kept from is cosmetic (except the Specialization AA’s… but those just take a lot of time anyway; I don’t think they want people to have them very soon).

And if you applied like 50 matches of Double XP then that’s your dumb@$$3$ fault. The last Halo game had an XP cap; why wouldn’t this one?

So I was just wondering, is that the reason I got the “You have reached the online XP Cap” Message? Not Complaining just Curious, I wasn’t aware there was a cap, but is that the reason I obtained this message while playing Infinity Multiplayer?

Fix what about it? There isn’t anything broke about it to start with so there is nothing to fix. Everyone that is screaming about the XP cap is just going to have to accept that was the way the game is set up, pull up your big boy pants and do what you can as you can do it without subjecting everyone else to an endless stream of complaints like its suddenly a suprise to discover you can’t hammer out a ton of SP points in a 24 hour grind.

I love when kids think because people play alot they value rank as a meaning.

Did you ever think, perhaps that some of us are laid off and returning to work in a week, or perhaps on break from school.

Gee maybe we wanna get as much in now so that we wont be playing when we are DOG TIRED!

=/= Thread!

I just want to get through the day with more than 6 ranks earned

Why are you telling people how to play the game they paid money for? I have hit the XP cap once and this is I -Yoinking!- love playing Halo, I have had 3 days off and have been waiting for this game the second it was announced and I paid £66 for my Limited Edition and you can be damn sure I am going to spend those 3 days playing none stop.

There is this thing called patience.
The way it works is, whatever you don’t manage to get accomplished today because your held up by somehting like an XP cap, is still going to be there when you can progress on again.
So even if your not making levels, or earning SP points today, you can still play the game if you enjoy it, and if you don’t enjoy it because you can’t earn SP, then put in something else and play it that you DO enjoy.
Those are your choices.
Either play the game because you enjoy playing the game and show patience till you can earn XP again, or play something else that you enjoy while you show patience till you can earn XP again.

Play the game or don’t play the game, thats your choice and I’m telling you either way. I’ve been playing it pretty much non-stop since it was released. The only thing that I’m telling people is guess what, the game has XP caps, it applies to everyone, not just them. EVERYBODY has to deal with the XP cap. So deal and stop crying about it, because it’s part of the game.

They can deal with it, show patience and play the game for the fun of it, not play the game because they are mad about it, but personally I’d appreciate it if they would Shut Up with the bawling and complaining about something that EVERYONE that bought a copy of the game is also dealing with and stop trying to turn the XP cap into a mountain when its just barely a molehill.

I’m not crying about it, I don’t like it but i know why it is there.

My point is why are you telling people how to play a game that THEY PAID for? I agree It is annoying seeing people complain about it but they are free to do so. People play for fun, some play for competitive reasons and some play to unlock everything they can, accept the fact that not everyone plays for fun. People have there preferences and play styles.

Each person has a right to their own opinion, but I ask that if you are to post your opinion on these forums, you create a topic that is more than flame-bait.
