For the people that hate this game.

Just go? Go play Halo: Reach, or if you hate that too (which you probably did because some of you guys complain about everything) play Halo 3. Even though some of you who are praising that will have been saying Halo 2 was better when that came out.

Some people in this community are never happy. Halo 4 has been out for just over a month. Every Halo game has had problems on launch, people are going crazy because its a different developer this time around. No I am not a 343i fanboy, I know this game has serious flaws, but doesn’t every game? This game is far from garbage, yes some things seem like COD but its not copying COD, the FPS genre has evolved to the extent where sprint, load outs and quick time events are the norm.

If this game was exactly like Halo 3, you’d complain that it hasn’t changed, which is what people also say about… Call of Duty. No matter what happened with this game, people would say its just like CoD. Halo is amazing, it always has been and always will be, but it must evolve to remain suitable for modern day gaming, if you can’t accept that, then maybe your time playing Halo has ended… Which brings me back to the first line I typed…

Just go.

This is like telling the Joker to stop pranking the Batman. Or Lex Luthor to stop trying to kidnap Lois Lane in order to get Superman to step into the Kryptonite filled bathtub so he can strangle him. Either way it would be boring if that happened.

Clearly, OP, you are not a Halo fan. NO ONE would complain if Halo 4 was just like Halo 3. Well, I take that back. If there were complaints, it’d be about small game play mechanics (i.e. BR spread, grenade power, etc.).

You just don’t get it, do you? We complain because Halo (a game I’ve been playing for 10 years now) isn’t “HALO” anymore. It’s a crappy mish-mash of CoD inspired gameplay. It’s yet one more game that plays just like every other main stream FPS out there.

That’s not why I play(ed) Halo. I didn’t fall in love with this series because there were awesome perks, kill streaks, or whatever. No, I play this game because of the unique SIMPLICITY to it. There were no fancy bells and whistles. You lived an died by map control and aim. Period. You didn’t have to guess what weapon your opponent could kill you with. You knew what they had and what your team had. It gave the competitive community something to cheer about. That “cheer” is dead now.

When I hear people say how “awesome” Halo 4 is, I remember what I felt like when I heard people say Star Wars I was “awesome.” Pathetic.

I would complain if they made it exactly like Halo 3, we don’t need to do it the Activision way…

People complain because they see the potential being wasted and are frustrated about not having access to playlists they’ve enjoyed in halo games for the past several years.

Then go play Halo 3? You can’t tell people if they are a fan of the game or not, if a person enjoys a game series, they are a fan. If I said every Halo game apart from this was crap, that would probably mean I am not a fan… I don’t understand why you are complaining, you wanna go play Halo 3 then play Halo 3? But its dated as hell and not at all flawless… No Halo game is.

I’ve also seen you posting around about how much you enjoyed Halo Reach… That game wasn’t simple was it? Thats the point where Halo began to change…

Microsoft and 343i are trying to dig halo out of the pit it has fallen into. I don’t agree with the way they are doing it but at the moment it seems like its the only way to get Halo back up there as an fps so we are going to have to put up with it.
And yes I do hate the fact that halo isn’t as simple as it used to be we all guessed that as soon as we turned on the game for the first time and looked at the menus.

I agree but those same people have to do something like idk check up on the annonuncments page for updates on IDK everything there whineing for instead of acting like 343 is going to stop all work on those same fixes people are asking for to send out individual replies to each and every complaint post because there to busy hateing on the thing to see 343 trying to fix these things.

I think the reason for the anger is that like so many game companies, 343 released a game with known problems to make money. They could release the game and slowly fix issues after launch at their leisure because they all ready did their part by making the game. This is upsetting since it shows a lack of respect for the consumer/players.
