I like the lore of halo and have played them all, so i will deff be buying Halo Infinite. But the campaign is obviously the least played part of halo, and multiplayer being the thing that keeps you playing. Now that multiplayer is free, all youre getting for the game purchase is the story. So what i been curious about, For the people that buy Halo Infinite, will there be a few seasons included in the price? will it be a $30 purchase instead of the typical 60ish? or is it going to be more like a destiny situation where if u want the full game, you buy the game, buy the xpac, and buy the season. I think it should be campaign +3seasons, since that kinda works out to a full game purchase $30 on the campaing side and if seasons are like $10 that puts $30 on multiplayer. Im all for paid seasons and 343 making that money to keep the game going. I just want the value to be there for not only the free to play players but also the fans that wanna fully dive in to the game.
We don’t know anything about the content of the campaign. We’ll have wait and see what comes with the price tag.
Pretty sure if you’re buying the campaign that’s all you’re purchasing. Could be wrong they might have bundles lined up like “campaign and season” but as of right now if you purchase the campaign that’s all you’re getting.
I’ve bought every iteration of Halo but I don’t think I will buy Infinite unless the collectors edition is something special.
Everyone who has game pass ultimate will technically be getting the campaign for “free”.
Would be nice if you get a free season pass with the disc copy to reward people who buy the game either way.

I’m the same. I upgraded to Game Pass and it’s a very good deal. So yes, unless there’s a Halo Legendary Edition with model, season pass etc, Game Pass will be the way I play Halo Infinite.
Ya, im not a game passer cuz i dont play a lot of games, i just play a few games a lot. and the games i do play i fully play so usually not a free to play player. So the Halo free to play could be great for those who choose it. But instead of past halos where your game purchase got you everything in one package, now its chopped up and sold in chunks, paying for campaign and then paying for multiplayer seasons (which i know would be optional, but if you want it all you get it) possibly making it a worse deal for non free to play fans. i know its a wait and see situation, but just kinda trying to get a jump on it. To many transactions is what had me quit destiny.

I genuinely don’t intend on buying a single game for my Xbox Series X. I suppose that’s what they had in mind with game pass. It’s awesome, the first party titles going straight to it means it dumps all over the competition and the only way they can even try to compete is by offering the same.
Any multiplatform titles not on game pass I’ll buy on PS5.

I used to think that way too. I never got into Game Pass because my most played games were not there. My favourite shooters of all time are DOOM and Wolfenstein. My favourite RPG is Fallout 3 and Outer Worlds. With the Zenimax take over it’s Game Pass heaven for me. You should try it for the first month. I played a few games I thought I never would and I’ve had excellent value, in my opinion.
As for Halo Infinite, it looks like the campaign is all we get for the price. No details have been released though, time will tell.
Seems to me that the biggest concern should be the the campaign being worth whatever it’s retail price is on its own. If the campaign costs $60 then I want it to be a $60 campaign. I’d prefer that to getting boons for multiplayer.
I think you’ll be paying for the campaign completely separately. Especially since it will be free with those with Game pass. But they did say the planned on supporting the campaign for quite a while. And with it being partially open-world there is a lot they can do with it. Campaign and Multiplayer seem like completely different experiences this time around.
Yeah I’m not sure the campaign being sold for £60 is fair
the Digital Deluxe edition probably solve those kind of issues.
I can’t imagine them not doing one

I will be the same… Mostly. I’m a sucker for my collectables, last year alone I bought DOOM Eternal, Cyberpunk, Zombie Army 4 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. When Darksiders 3 came out I dropped a small fortune on the Apocalypse Edition. Some are not Game Pass, but there will be games on there that I want collectors items of.
I would have no issue dropping the price of the models on Game Pass titles. For example when you pre install the Game Pass title there’s an option in the Microsoft store to pay extra for the collectables. I think that would be great, otherwise I’ll just buy physical where appropriate. Halo Infinite is bound to have a collectable imo. So I might need a physical copy.

Ya that was kinda my point. The value of the purchase. I bring up MP because before, you paid $60ish which included campaign and MP and in newer titles customization all in one package. But if part of that is now F2P and the customization is behind seasons. we are just purchasing the campaign with multiplayer content being behind additional costs with seasons. So unless they do something to add value to the campaign, reduce the cost, or add MP seasons with the purchase, its going to seem like the “f2p” model will be worse for the non f2p players who want both story and MP needing to pay more that they did before, for the full experience.

This is all why i brought this topic up lol. It all seems like a great deal to F2P players who dont care for story, seems great for game pass users who get it for free, But im curious on those who want to buy the game. whether its a physical copy or digital, collectors edition or regular.
Probably $60 price tag. It comes with campaign and season one of the multiplayer battle pass. Remember Halo 3: ODST released at full price as well.

i agree 100%, not to mention this is gonna be a $60 campaign that’s supposed to be the foundation for the next 10 years of halo. I just want to know if that means you’ll have to pay a price to play the new story if they roll out with one over the years, (similar to bungie in Destiny) or if they’ll continue to make it a one time purchase. I guess we’ll have to wait to find that one out though.

Collectors edition might convince me to buy a physical copy depending on what’s in it. Otherwise its all digital for me. I don’t have game pass yet, but I might get it before this releases.

I mean perception wise if you are already a game pass member it seems that way however it is not free. We can’t forget it is free for some of these kids because they don’t pay for it lol.
